Whose name do you write to save video games?

I kill every popular streamer, YouTuber, and influencer while also writing in the Death Note that they download and share a ton of CP before they die, forever ruining their reputations.

>Death Note that they download and share a ton of CP before they die, forever ruining their reputations.
The Death Note has restrictions against making people enact things that they reasonably wouldn't while outside of its control. That's why Light had to kill a shitload of inmates just to get a few of them to leave messages on the walls of their cells. It's not a perfect brainwashing apparatus.

I thought that you just couldn’t make them do things that were physically impossible. Like you couldn’t have someone hulk out and break out of prison by running through a brick wall or suddenly appear in France in an hour if they’re in Japan or something. And they can’t have knowledge of things they were never told about, like how Light couldn’t make a random person confess L’s identity. But it’s been forever since I read it.

death is only conditional via physical possibility it's specifically the pre-death mind control that's limited to reasonable actions, so you can't impart knowledge onto people or have them commit completely contextless, arbitrary actions

>>740983409
No, it's more nuanced than that. I don't recall if the rule is specifically mentioned in conversation in the manga, but I do believe it's shown. It's definitely shown in the anime as an eyecatcher.
>>740983446
The cause of death itself is immutable so long as it's physically possible for them to perform. What isn't possible is to fully puppeteer every aspect of their behavior before their death occurs, unless it's something they might otherwise do of their own recognizance. E.g, you couldn't make a mother kill her children before turning the gun on herself. She'd just kill herself, or die of a heart attack. Using the Death Note as a full-on mind control device was something they did in the life action Netflix version that was rightfully called out for being bullshit.

I don’t remember there being a rule saying you can’t make someone do something they wouldn’t normally do. Because with the Ray’s fiancée they explicitly said that she wasn’t the type of person who would kill herself, yet Light was able to have the Death Note make her do it anyway.
The only big rules were that it couldn’t be physically impossible, people couldn’t magically know things they didn’t know normally, and the cause of death couldn’t lead to the death of other people. So you couldn’t write that someone goes monkey mode and beats an entire room of people to death even though that’s technically possible. But you could write that they do 5 backflips before landing on their head and breaking their neck.

Light has a prisoner write "L suspects the police" which fails, note that writing that doesn't actually require knowledge, it could just be a guess, but it requires context and motivation

>Rule VI - Manipulation
>The conditions for death will not be realized unless it is physically possible for that human or it is reasonably assumed to be carried out by that human.
The wording is a little wonky because it's written by a Japanese guy, but the function is pretty clear. The former half addresses that a death most be physically possible, while the latter half addresses that any actions taken by way of manipulation must be reasonably in-character for the victim in question. There's also this:
>The specific scope of the condition for death is not known to the gods of death, either. So, you must examine and find out.
Which is part of the same rule but pretty irrelevant.

I have to read this shit again but I can swear they directly talk about this at some point even though the exact scenario never fully plays out aside from a glimpse of it with Naomi.
You CAN manipulate actions as long as it doesn’t result in the deaths of anyone other than the original target and follows the physically possible and knowledge check. But it’s not like straight brainwashing either. It’s more like subtly implanting the idea in their head and they have the 23 limit to “work up” to it even if it’s something they wouldn’t normally do.
So for that anon’s idea they wouldn’t jump straight to downloading hardcore stuff. It would start as a rabbit hole that they would gradually go down before reaching getting comfortable enough to reach that point.

>So for that anon’s idea they wouldn’t jump straight to downloading hardcore stuff. It would start as a rabbit hole that they would gradually go down before reaching getting comfortable enough to reach that point.
Yeah, this would almost certainly work. The problem is the time frame. The actual cause of death operates on a 23 day timeframe, so you only have a limited means of time to manipulate them up to that point. I'm not sure how much the influence on their actions is necessarily intertwined with the timeframe for the cause of death, though. There's a lot of shit that can only be speculated. But I'd wager that if you were clever enough about it, you could probably find a way to make the above work.

we found the winner, although Netanyahu would be a more deliberate answer. Also, it seems like these videos with "quiet part out loud" get you hit with a "sign in to prove you are not a bot" on youtube now. Someone ring the fucking alarms on this to someone that you know that can affect this bullshit. Youtube is literally censoring information flow from non-logged in people. I'm 100% certain nobody censors their own videos to public like this. They are trying to scrub ALL FORMS of dissent/sensitive information from reaching people that don't give up their data to greedy kikes at google.

It would be extremely unfortunate, but ultimately unsurprising, if Valve went public. Gaming would be pretty much over.
