What went so right with Resident Evil?

It makes no sense that anyone would find themselves in the situation of the protagonists of Resident Evil with the puzzles and so the individual games have bad world building but the series as a while is creating an incredible lore.

>>740993091I disagree I think RE7 serves a very important purpose in the franchise as lorewise it shows the impact of bioterrorism on the average family and gameplay wise its the first time and only time they really brought back RE1's pacing and flow, also the first time in a while (since RE0) they brought back the classic gameplay and inventory management. People who believe it isnt a true RE game just because of the camera perspecrtive are actual retardsWith that said I do think the RE7/RE9 team would be perfectly suited to developing a reboot of the Clock Tower franchise, and all of the cinematic flair and slow pacing issues frequently cited in their RE games would feel right at home for Clock Tower

Capcom benefits primarily by pulling off a really obscure trick called actually releasing games, something most other big publishers simply have not figured out how to do yet

7 is the only decent resident evil from REengine. The rest are remakes for cattle. 8 is just a big 4 reference. 8 is 4 but gay. 9 is a re1remake reference (mansion, lisa in the basement, flooding in the other building, crimson heads) and then a re2remake reference. They have no ideas 9 was probably made by ai. I'm just waiting for the 6 remake, the grand finale of the franchise. I hate re8 so much it's unreal.
