Last night, we signed the lease on my first apartment. I am moving out into my first perfectly clean, singularly my-own living space that I can fill with furniture and other amenities by the end of June. I am also in talks with the bank to set up a new account there, and I will be taking proof of residency to get a government ID once I can get it from my landlord. I am actually beginning the real public adult life I was promised and things are slowly, genuinely turning around. I personally like the combat a lot and can quite easily overlook the other issues with the game. The story and characters are okay, Lightning and Sazh being the standouts for me. The English dub at times did not translate well from the Japanese script (not because of the actors), for example Vanille's goofy moments or power of friendship stuff. It's probably fine on any console, I'm playing on PC with HD mods which looks nice.

The Bunker became like a mini metal gear game with a soft "alert" system, item collection, and destroying cameras. I'd play a whole game of that. The secret levels were also fun. Overall I'd place it in the middle of the road of the small handful of FPS I've played, equal with Half-Life.
