Why don't they make fun games anymore like SSX Tricky? It's all corporate engineered stuff.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMRhcrcs5YQ
>>741155870It's hard to enjoy simple fun games with a polished, stylish aesthetic these days because they are default either $70 dollars corporate slop or indie slop of comparatively limited scope
because you voted with your wallet and didnt buy games like it
>>741155870>Trickybarely ever replayed that because the sounds effects are fucking irritating
>>741155870play splatoon salmon run mode. It is actually really fun moment-to-moment gameplay with a easy-to-learn, hard-to-master arcadey difficulty curve.
>>741155870SSX was corporate engineered though. extreme sports were the flavor of the day in the early 2000s
>>741159393>really fun moment-to-moment gameplay with a easy-to-learn, hard-to-master arcadey difficulty curveWow, it's utterly UNHEARD of for a Nintendo game to be like that and not at all the norm.
>>741155870They are working on ithttps://store.steampowered.com/app/2743850/Tricky_Madness/
>>741159545This. They had Macy Gray on it as a voice actor. Macy Gray. That said, it was still an awesome game because Macy Gray kind of rocks and the corpos actually knew what they were doing back then, in the context of tapping into the youth culture zeitgeist (that they helped manufacture). Modern corpos painted themselves into a corner raising a generation that doesn't actually want anything specific -are just attention-farmed dopamine zombies - and therefore can't be sold to.
>>741160562I was watching this one but didn't like how visually bland the designs looked. At least from the trailer they seemed to nail recreating the gameplay. I found this one which is trying to do mix Jet set visuals with SSX. Kinda gives me those early 2000s f2p korean mmo vibes.https://store.steampowered.com/app/3082730/HYPERyuki_Snowboard_Syndicate/ Both seem to lack a good announcer and voice actors for the boarders which was a big part of what made SSX so great.
>>741159393>play splatoonNo thanks, I’m straight.
>>741162462liar
>>741160562not to be a dick to an indie dev but this is genuinely too derivative. I mean that track in the trailer is literally just mercury city.
