There should be no limit to that. It also means MTX out the ass. Games like Helldivers 2/Concord/Marathon and I'll throw in CoD/GTA/FIFA allow for less aggressive monetization because people already paid to get the game and because they're tied to PS+ subscriptions. It's a more "humane" form of MTX, I guess you could say. Sony does make most of its money from its 30% cut off of its platform, either through full game purchases or through MTX in games, but Sony's push for its own GAAS games is so the Playstation platform wouldn't be reliant on third-party games to remain successful. That's the other thing. The point is still to bring people onto the Playstation platform. Pushing into F2P games that'll end up on Switch/Xbox/Mobile will not help in that effort.

You know why D1 and D2 and Marathon cost so much and why Destiny was unprofitable. Mismanagement. All 3 of these games released poorly and had to undergo a rebuilding phase that last the entire lifespan of the game. D1's last update, Rise of Iron perfected the game but the issue is it came at the end. This last D2 update isn't perfect but it also added so much shit people wanted. This is why no one should support this garbage company or want a D3 from them. If they made D3 on release everything yet again about the game would be bad, the loot, the story, the end game etc because the managers make bad decisions and the next 7 years is spent "fixing" it. The train analogy they used also spoke about releasing shit broken and fixing it later. Imagine if Destiny 1 and 2 released how they are now? Where Bungie spent 90% of their time on making new engaging content instead of 90% fixing bugs and changing the game? Here we go again with marathon as they hastily add PVE modes that were never intended for the game which is probably going to cause new map development to slow down as well as other changes.

I gave it a fair chance, but all I learned is that extraction shooters aren't for me. The game wasn't fun at all. Empty boring ass maps with dog shit loot in every building. Out of the 6 or 7 games I played, I ran into another player like twice on two seperate occassions. I wanted to like it but it's digital nyquil man.
