Have any anons played the PS4/PS5 version yet? Feel like input lag is noticeable enough (tried on main TV and gaming monitor), and my analog stick positioning ingame is off, to the point it's super hard to even get A-Rank on the first few stages.
Was hoping to have a go at the Plat trophy but the thought of getting A-Rank with no misses on later stages seems impossible to me. I can consistently get A-Rank no issues on PS2 and PSP but it's so much harder with this port.
Any anons having a similar experience?

Who cares bout this boomer shit, cute girl tho
>>
>>741227567
i feel a bit off but I'm used to the PSP version so it might just be that

you can also use the rewind feature if you wanna cheat too if you get a miss or mess up a section

dumb zoomertranny
>>
>>741228996
PSP version is nice since the guideline goes yellow when you're 100% on track which unfortunately the PS2 version doesn't have.
I'll probably have to use Rewind for the trophies but it feels so wrong.
Playing this makes me wish an actual remaster would've been made instead with the PSP guidlines, calibration option to help with the input lag, and the extra songs from PSP port.
>>
>>741229426
yeah, it would have benefited from a full remaster
>>
I almost failed Stage 6 (Legendary Theme acoustic with Kirah), a stage where I never miss any notes and get 'Great' timings for 90%+ of notes.

I'm glad new players will be exposed to the beauty of Gitaroo Man but I'm really hating this port.
>>
the fact the gold trophy requirements go from "a rank no misses" to just "a rank" with born to be bone is really funny
>>
>>741231018
Thank God, no way in hell would 1%+ of players be able to miss no notes in that and Tainted Lovers.
I'm thankful there's only 1 trophy for Master mode. If there was a Gold trophy for beating the game on Master difficulty, it'd be one of the hardest trophies ever (I've never made it past Bee Jam Blues on Master for both PS2/PSP)
>>
>>741227567
switch 2 when?
>>
>>741233237
probably never since it's an emulated Playstation 2 game using Sony's emulator for that
>>
>>741233237
Only if there's a remaster since as >>741233403 points out this is a PS4/PS5 port only.
I hope this sells enough for that remaster to happen because imo it needs it.
Also noticed the Gitaroo Man soundtrack is available now for all music streaming platforms which is cool, hopefully they'll make a physical release too.

I did finally get past born to be bone on master on psp, but tainted lovers was a brick wall. his guard sections are fucking insane
>>
>>741233609
>hopefully they'll make a physical release too
they did in japan back when it originally released which is what the streaming version is a digital release of, it's pretty expensive to get now
>>
>>741233736
I think it's the final Guard section of Bee Jam Blues that always rapes me. I can have 3/4 of health and lose it all in a couple of seasons, just too brutal for me. I wish there was an option for the Guard sections to display all 4 notes coming from just one direction instead of 4, personally would be easier for me to read the notes.

>>741233908
I did know about that but yea prices are so fucked for it that I can't justify buying it. I also wouldn't mind a new rerelease for obviously a cheaper price but also including the English versions of Flyin' To Your Heart, Soft Machine and 21st Century Boy, even though the original versions are obviously better but I have nostalgia for them.
>>
>>741234984
yeah, you'd think someone would be interested enough to do another OST release since that bootleg vinyl release a few years ago is selling for over $100 used now too

i was lucky enough to get a copy of that but it was messed up as far as i remember from when i played it

>>741236075
messed up how

curious because people were saying it sounds good, and the rip on youtube sounds fine as well
probably not an audiophile quality master since it's a bootleg ofc
>>
>>741236406
it's been a while since i listened to it buy it sounded wavy to me? i have a shit setup for listening to vinyl so it could be because of that too or i just got a bad pressing
>>
>>741227567
so is the shark part just literally fucking impossible?
>>
>>741236656
might be because it's warped, if the needle is bouncing up and down higher than normal that will cause it to warble, but that's easier to detect by sight
could also be that the hole punch is slightly off-center, if it is, don't play the record.
>>
>>741236742
you just need to git gud
>>
>>741237216
No. I will uninstall if I don't beat it the very next time I play it.
>>
>>741236075
Unfortunate to hear anon

>>741236742
This was my first big filter back in the day. Don't be afraid to hit multiple inputs of the same note, this game doesn't punish you for pressing a button with no note present so spamming is viable (Born to Bone and Tainted Lovers I spam alot).
Don't be afraid to use Rewind feature, it can help with faster sections where you cant tell which note to hit first.
>>
>>741237789
>Don't be afraid to use Rewind feature
playing the ps2 version
>>
>>741237894
Yea I can't really say much other than "git gud", though once you beat it you're going to be way more comfortable and better in future Guard sections. Maybe watch a youtube playthrough of the song and memorize patterns from there, I think it's the only song in the game that doesn't have different sections can be mixed in.
If the game had an option to display all 4 notes coming from 1 direction instead of 4, I feel this song would be a million times easier.
>>
>>741227567
No interest in getting a PS4/PS5 but nice that people get to play Gitaroo Man for the first time. Awesome game.
>>
I got filtered by the skeletons on emulator lag. I have to say though, the use of musical story telling is god tier
>Level starts off with heavy rock
>MC drops it and refuses
>Uses previous levels romance song which so happens to be the legendary song
>She tries to aggressively hold onto her feelings and interrupt the song with electric guitar before being overpowered as her jarring notes that don’t mesh at all
>Joins in with the melody once she the song resonates with her, song peaks and the melody perfectly harmonises
For a simple anime game with a shitty dub, this is better storytelling than most triple AAA, game peaks here

Both stages with the Legendary theme are absolute kino of the highest order.
>>
>>741227567
Every fucking stage in this game filtered me.
