>but I'm lazy!

isn't gacha gambling?
>>
>>741270450
no it's more like pokemon booster packs. gambling is a game of chance where you could win money
>>
>>741270572
yeah so it is gambling but worse, you can't even win money
>>
>>741270247
Gacha just has too many things people might dislike. Trannys and puritans dislike the "goonerbait", low impulse people dislike the gambling, some people dislike million menus and currencies, the stories usually are not all that good but yeah the hate seems forced, it really is not that big of a deal, felt the same way when people had a rageboner against lootboxes and then battlepasses.
>>
>>741270649
That's literally not gambling though. A game of chance by itself isn't gambling otherwise any game with rng would be 18+
>>
>>741270247
I don't want to come home from 10 hours of work to my ungrateful wife and kids just to play a game job little nigger
>>
>>741270247
>i mentally equate "chores" to "video games"
if you dont see the issue there is no helping you and i hope you die
>>
I need to do my daily shitposting on /v/ for validation instead
>>
>>741270732
hmmmm ah so if casinos stopped giving out prize money they would suddenly not be regulated
>>
>chores you have to pay for
Taste it in your brain, let it stew for a bit
>>
>>741270787
I mean yeah they would basically be receiving donations at that point
>>
>>741270881
yeah okay so they tried that
it didn't dodge regulations
>>
>>741270787
If they stopped giving out prize money and started giving out anime waifus instead, then gamblers would think:
>Oh, I didn’t get the waifu, I guess I missed out. I’m leaving
Instead of:
>I absolutely have to gamble my life savings away to make up for the losses I’ve already incurred through gambling
So yes, the fact that you can win back the very thing you’re spending in real gambling absolutely makes a huge difference.

Keep in mind that gamblers often jump off of buildings when they lose everything. Which gacha player kys’d himself after losing a waifu?
>>
>>741270929
Then we should regulate critical hits in jarpigs if that's the case
>>
>>741270247
Kill yourself
>>
>>741271004
if you can spend money for each individual roll, yeah sure
>>
>>741271046
Ok but in gachas 99% of people roll with their free gems. You just backed yourself into the retard corner
>>
>>741271337
but can people pay for those rolls?
>>
>>741271360
with free google points ;)
>>
Legally they get away with it by "selling lootboxes" instead of gambling. Mihoyo lost that lawsuit with the FTC which tells you everything about how bad these gacha games really are.
>>
>>741270247
>What's even the problem with doing daily chores?
Why waste doing repeated chores in a video game? Also those aren't even thematically related to the game story / lore.
>>
>>741270787
You joke but that's precisely what happened with pachinko. You don't win money, just some goods that can be exchanged with money at a totally separate establishment.
>>
>>741272120
and pachinko is considered gambling tho
>>
>>741272296
Legally, it isn't.
>>
>>741270247
Gacha just isn't very good. That alone wouldn't be an issue but it got so popular for some retarded reason that it effectively obliterated regular weeb vidya.
>>
>>741272759
The reason is because anime games have always been niche. The successful ones like Fate/Extra sold around 100-200k copies at most. Gacha succeeded because they're free games that any retard could pick up due to their shitty gameplay and gambling.
>>
>>741270247
Being psychologically manipulated is not how I want to spend my time
>>
Every gacha game would be better without the gacha. That is the problem dumb fuck nigger
>>
>>741270724
>forced
>listed million reasons to hate them
Another dumbfuck nigger retard
>>
>NOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST DISLIKE MOBILE GAME MECHANICS!!!
Watch me.
>>
>>741270247
Might as well just do an anki deck every day to memorize the birthdates+favorite foods+favorite sex positions of the sloots
>>
>>741270247
I tried a few gachas and I always got bored after a few weeks
>>
The best unique thing about gachas is the feeling of trying to solve a challenge/raid/boss/level with your non-whale, non-meta units and actually being able to if you plan or execute right. It's like roguelikes but over a longer scale and with more commitment and impact from your choices. If you get lucky and get a meta pull that removes all of a certain challenge, it actually feels shit in the long run imo cause it's kind of fun to be the underdog and still succeed. This is why I purposely don't follow meta and just dickpull. Then again, it also feels shit if you're hard walled by not having certain units/investments, but I'd say that's just bad game design and drop games that do this too much.
I'd like to know of a non-gacha that gives this same feeling. Roguelikes are the closest, but it's different.
>>
there are better, more healthy ways to get challenge in non gacha games
this is just poorfaggot cope who has to work like a slave for a pittance every 3 weeks
>>
>>741273493
that's great until you start playing pvp
>>
>>741273493
>choices
No such thing in gachas.
>>
>>741273438
I tried that cat idle game, neko atsume I think, which is almost a gacha
>>
>>741273724
Don't do that or do it with low expectations.
I've yet to see a gacha without a miserable PVP.
>>741273782
who you pull, mostly. Who you invest in also, depending on the system.
But even without choice, if you just blindly pulled whenever, each account has a different experience cause of the randomness of pulls, which is kind of neat. It's like a long term commitment roguelike.
>>
>>741273253
You can hate pretty much anything if you go out of your way and be "le objective" sperg
>>
>load game
>press autobattle
>load game
>press autobattle
>load game
>press autobattle
do you really enjoy this or are you just stuck in a rut
>>
>>741273493
That's not unique to gacha. You can play many other games and intentionally kneecap yourself with some arbitrary challenge. I like the attitude, tho. It means you're playing around with the game, getting the most out of it even though it's complete dogshit.

a lot of lazybones itt

>>741273920
>who you pull
That's not what choices mean.
