They changed the placement of the EX bar to the top while shortening the HP bar. It has mostly remained unchanged since the 2025 version, except this time they changed Sora's headshot model to more closely resemble the first version where he's facing forward.

Speaking of Sora's design, we can also see a pretty significant change to the overall proportions of his face, and his hair especially looks darker now.

It's hard to say which one I prefer the most, but I do like that little detail where you can see Sora's crown necklace sticking out of the frame in the old version.

I thought it already looked fine in 2025. His cheeks look too puffy in the 2026 version.

It’s like finding a secluded tribe of people in the age of sailing/exploration that never had coffee or mass produced textiles before you showed up. They can open the archives on 15 year old titles AND charge $70 to an audience that will pay that for them. And unlike the Switch 1 they won’t have to optimize the hell out of them. I wouldn't claim games like Sekiro or DMC4SE wouldn't appear on Switch 2, but DMC5 and Elden Ring were clearly given high priority due of their notoriety (and being the last mainline titles of their respective franchises) with the mainstream audience. I'm honestly expecting the other From Software titles to be ported on the Nintendo console next year or the year after that.

They'll eventually see that Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Monster Hunter Wilds, Dragon's Dogma 2 Dark Arisen and Kingdom Hearts 4 are on the platform and doing well and won't be able to ignore it or act like it's technically difficult to have their games there. It will naturally change, maybe it'll take 1 or 2 years but it's gonna happen anyway. Peers pressure and market pressure (especially Japan's market) will do the job. Third-parties didn't start to develop their games on Switch 2 out of charity, it's been a slow but steady progress since the Switch 1 days.

See, I take the "adapt or perish" mantra seriously, because I don't consider the "or perish" part of that phrase to not be a possibility anymore. The longer this drags on, the more and more irrelevant a publisher or developer becomes to the audience that has formed around a platform, the more willing that audience will be to buy something they have more of an interest in from greater exposure to it and/or being a better overall product. That seems to be Square Enix's thought process in all of this, and it was the right thinking for them when they've learned the hard lesson that they cannot dictate what the consumer wants and where they want it. And Capcom didn't want to wait to learn the lesson. But there was always, assuredly, going to be publishers and developers who thought they knew better than the audience or something stupid like that, who will make endless excuses for what they do until shareholders bully them into compliance with market expectations/reality, when the damage will have mostly already been done.

There are a few exceptions of course but i think generally most third party ports flop on it.
Maybe that's why Sega is has been doing less ports for the Yakuza games now for it and that's why Stranger than Heaven is only on PS5/Xbox and PC
Same goes for Atlus, i heard Persona 3 did pretty poorly on it, as well as the other Persona games, the only one that did well was Persona 5 and i think was because of the hype that it was getting ported to other platforms too. I actually think this time is different, because the Switch 2 is more powerful relative to previous Nintendo consoles and how powerful they were to their predecessors at time of release. Current game releases won’t last its entire lifespan, but there is such a backlog of games that publishers are going to port. They have years of content to bring over.
