If we just ignore that the power lost from losing your battalion wasn't actually that big of a deal. So the super fed unit could still easily carry on even after the battalion is depleted. And you'd kind of need to manage how much singular units fought in singular maps. And then when their battalions are done, they could still be useful but as a much weaker unit.
