I've been using this for a month now, if your internet is fast it's pretty much seamless, cloud gaming will be the standard in a few years.
>>
Fuck you leatherman
>>
>>741306190
No it wont be. dont buy an ad either. Kill yourself.
>>
For people who actually have standards and don't want to play everything with several extra frames of input lag it will never be the standard
>>
>>741306190
Can I pirate the games? Can I mod the games? Can I use Cheat Engine?
Oh, I can't? Well fuck off then.

I hope I die before that happens.
But also, I hope I become immortal.

How much is it, 20 bucks? A triviality, but I refuse to pay for shit.

Nah

Might as well go back to arcades.
It's funny that gaming will revert back to what my dad thinks gaming is.

What problem does cloud gaming solve?
>>
>>741308479
The hardware problem, obviously.
It's just not a good solution

i tried it with still wakes the deep, the main menu ran at 20 fps on 1080p, not a bandwidth issue. what the fuck is the point when it has the hardware of a 2015 pc
>>
>>741307421
bingo
latency as a service isn't something i need
>>

The hardware problem they created?

This is even more disgusting than streaming anime.
>>

Yeah.

I wouldn't care even if the streaming was 100% perfect with zero latency, I refuse to be a cloudgoy

>>741306190
We literally do not have the infrastructure to support that.
But please, tell me how the same product that has done multiple times and ended up shutting down is the future.

Reminder, none of those previous services had weekly play limits on them like this does.
>>
>>741306190
I just don't get who the core audience for it is. If you're casual just get a PS5.

ps5 for $800 vs $10 a month, that's six and a half years, and you can use your purchased steam games to play on it so you even keep your games, honestly not too bad

Thankfully it's never going to be "the standard".
Even with insane bitrates it's softer and lower quality than native, there's input lag, and 99% of people don't have the network infrastructure to play without occasional dropouts.
>>
>>741308479
Games that won't run on Linux because of anticheat.

do you know what happens when you make the white man angry?
extreme violence. the kind you've never seen before in your life.
>>

Lots of problems. Problems like:
>Only needing to pay once to have access to a game for an indefinite period of time instead of paying a nominal fee every month, week, or even per play
>Being able to play games from a time before all culture was enshittified
>Being able to download and play games for free if one is inclined
>Being able to have additional content in your games without paying for it, in the form of user-created mods
>Being able to play a game whenever you want instead of only when you're given permission to
Also solves problems like having a system that you're free to do and run whatever you want on, instead of only approved games and software activities.
It solves lots of problems. None of these solutions benefit (You) however, but they will gaslight and lie in order to convince (You) and the rest of the cattle that it does and that (You) WILL be happy for it.

>>741308959
You will eventually. Consumer compute is being phased out. Your hardware won't last forever, especially if you run it hard playing demanding games that would justify the expense.
And once your hardware dies, they've ensured that cloud computing will be there waiting for you as your ONLY option going forward.
>>
>>741309884
i would change hobby if my only option is renting or cloud shit

Watch as they suddenly all get their shit together and finally modernize the infrastructure taxpayers have been footing the bill for for decades
if the telecoms stop being retards and finally push out fiber big time all of a sudden you should be panicking because it means the zero ownership streaming digital standard is locked in and imminent
>>
>>741309884
nice wet dream of a tech illiterate investor. all the boomer dinosaurs will naturally die out sooner than my hardware will.

I've had gigabit fibre optic for about 10 years now, a very decent Ubiquiti router etc. and it's still not enough to get a seamless cloud gaming / streaming experience.
Most people's ISP speeds, router and wireless/wired NIC are not as good as what I have, I'm not saying this to brad but to make the point that even in optimal conditions it's not a great experience and most people will have an even worse time.
>>
>>741309346
of what? the console? you'd rather buy $70 ps store games?

no, I don't think I will

I was using it for almost 2 years and I would get 10-20ms to the servers but then I changed ISP and had to cancel because I get 35-50ms now even though it's still fiber, the problem is that I'm stuck in contract so I can't go back to my old ISP.

>>
torture all shills to death
>>
>its pretty much seamless
unless you live more than 2 miles from a nvidia datacenter, then its unplayable for anything but puzzle games
>>
I hope they add PCVR support to that service. Quest 3 already has Xbox cloud gaming support for flat games
>>
>>741306190
Gamers won't pay what cloud gaming actually costs. nVidia doesn't need gamers, this silly loss leader is being kept on life support because they just don't want to shut it down, but the cloud gaming experiment is over. It failed.
Cloud compute managed to survive jacking up the prices to profitable levels thanks to well heeled VC funded startups. Gamers don't have VC money, they can't pay $100 a month for a 6GB 4070 "gaming" gpu in teh clowd.

Enjoy your extreme motion sickness
>>
>>741306190
True, normies are too retarded and will just buy only to keep with the latest gaming trend.
>>
>>741306190
Yes, i can totally see it! People will absolutely love stream gaming because they love to rent stuff instead of owning stuff!! Surely they won´t just say "fuck it" and pirate instead! Hold strong brother!

That was sarcasm BTW
>>
>>741306190
i didnt even play anything that would throttle my gpu when it was brand new, its all garbage, all AAA
>>
What kind of scumbag gives money to an evil corportation that tries to give you an 8hr a day time limit to your vidya? You sure as shit don't belong on /v/ if you think 8hrs is plenty of time.
