Did you ever “catch 'em all” ?
>>741322245At one point in time I did in fact catch them all But then it turned out that wasn't them all!
>>741322245I got the national dex in White 2.
>>741322245I stopped caring about catching them all when they arbitrarily decided to start excluding Pokemon from their games for performance reasons (lmao).Actually, that's also where I stopped caring about (official) Pokemon games in general.
First time I actually bothered to fill the dex was in SV. I had such a great time I started to go backwards and fill out the dexes in previous games. Finished both the Legends games and almost done with Swsh. I don't know how I didn't realize that filling out the checkbox and getting the diploma (and shiny charm) appealed to me this much, when I've been playing these fucking games since the 90s.Thank you for coming to my blog.
>>741322245no I just replay the game with different teams
>>741322245Yes, I made a living dex of all available Pokemon across both versions with the help of a family member who got the opposite version
>>741322245>“catch 'em all”This slogan was dropped from the RSE box art because Gen 3 is when they realized they could recycle regions and pokemon forever.
>>741322245Only in PokeMMO
Closest I got was getting all the event legendaries in emulated emerald on 8x speedEvery time I set out to do it I get bored long before coming close
>>741322245No.The only games I ever see myself completing its Pokedex for is both Legends games, if I ever decide to play them, since apparently you don't need to trade for their respective Pokedexes, unless that's not the case.
>>741324037For ZA they went back to trade evolutions requiring an actual trade.
>>741322245like 20 years ago on the gba
>>741322245It's weird, I can grind for hours on old 8-bit RPGs all day, but I always get bored and drop my attempt at clearing a Pokemon game at an early point, sometimes four badges in, sometimes only two badges in. I don't know why I find it so much more tedious than other RPGs, but I definitely do.
Outside of Gen 1/2, it's the easiest on Gen 6 then Black 2/White 2In the Alola games it was the beginning of dexcut but at least they still kept Pokedex entriesGen 3 is the hardest requiring a fuckton of games, Eon/Aurora tickets and the Gaycube, Gen 4 is also hard because of Manaphy/Phione only found on Pokemon RangerGen 6 fixes them all by constantly running online events and ORAS having a shitton of captureable legendaries that was carried over a generation later in USUMEven in the modern Switch games you still can't catch them all and there's dexcut for 2 generations now, even Scarlet/Violet is still missing 100~ Pokemon and Gayfreak tried to add everybody
I had all 151 on the original red version.
>>741322245I was one of the living dex autists up to Sun/Moon. Dexit soured me on the series.
>>741322245no because mew and i didnt want to cheat
