Sony will never die. They will definitely sell less hardware per generation, but the people still buying Playstations next gen are the hardcorest paypiggies you'll ever see. They also are the de facto console that gets 98% of all relevant games, the other 2% being Nintendo/PC indie early access games like friendslop. I work in IT, and believe me when I say that most people are really not tech savvy when it comes to PC troubleshooting. A lot of them also think that size of the case = better specs. The 10 year old bulky optiplexes with 5400 RPM HDDs are definitely not better than the refurbished HP elitedesks that we just replaced them with.

Valve/Steam has the upside of being pretty hardware agnostic so even the hot new Macbook Neos can be considered as "Valve" revenue if they choose to install steam on MacOS. Same with the recent Linux developments that allows people to convert crappy old hardware into indieslop/emulator machines. Nintendo's recent games have been really sterile lately and they're playing it way too safe which makes them look and feel like slop. And although the S2 is selling a ton, I don't think they're making huge profit margins on each unit. They're also getting fucked by longer development times and their plan to alleviate that (the new building they're building) won't be done until 2029.
