You can lean more towards the right without becoming as bogged down in it as RDR2, I seem to remember Death Stranding having a good feeling movement system while still looking smooth, but it's been a while since I played it.

MGS3 vs. Delta highlights the problem pretty well. They gave Snake these new retarded arbirtrary turnaround animations that would at times interfere with him moving where you were pointing the stick, vs the original game where he would always spin on a dime to respond to your command as soon as you input it.
