Key card or real cartridge?
>>
my last nintendo console was the game boy advance
>>
>>741346517
I mean, they did say they were listening. They never said they would care.
>>
>>741346517
Cerote
>>
>>741346517
Who the hell are the 12 percent of people saying they would prefer a cuck card.
Some people might tolerate it but how deranged would you have to be to prefer it
>>
>>741346581
Sony fans boycotting Nintendo fans
>>
>>741346581
Aren't modern Nintendo cards so volatile that they rot after a few years of inactivity anyway? Cuck cards all the way down.
>>
>>741346581
The retards who capitalism take advantage of because they see the cheaper price and want that without taking into account they pay more in the long term for SD cards.
Also this >>741346627
>>
>>741346547
which games did you have? that's a kino console
>>
>>741346517
I'm nonbuynary
>>
>>741346643
have been since NDS
>>
>>741346650
>without taking into account they pay more in the long term for SD cards.
No? I just delete games when I'm done with them, I can redownload them if needed
>>
>>741346643
thats only certain 3DS cards
>>
>>741346581
At least the cuck cards can be resold.
If you buy from Nintendo ESlop... lool
>B-but digital games are so convenient! I don't have to move my fat ass out of my chair! The strain that puts on my arms is unbearable!
>>
>>741347846
I don't think the games they sell are worth the pain of a GKC:
https://selecta-play.com/en/videogames/
>>
>>741346643
i've never heard of that happening, some people just didnt care for them or where semi exposed on a box in a garage, its the same with people that show old LPs or Cds rotting and dont tak into account they are not supposed to be on a furniture that gets sun for years
>>
>>741347776
>I can redownload them if needed
at some point you wont, maybe Nintendo games since you can still get your Wii online and get whatever you bought digitally there, as long as the system itself lives since it has no account system,

But we are talking in a time where the likes of Ubisoft exist and Japanese retarded and bloated definition of "copyright"
>>
>>741346517
Who the fuck would choose key card?
>>
>>741346650
>The retards who capitalism take advantage of
Console owners?
>>
>>741347806
>>741348087
every 3DS and switch cart and even some later NDS titles, use flash memory. sure it's not your typical rewritable SD-card and therefore more robust but it will eventually fail.
>>
>>741348165
At some point I won't need to, I'll just be able to emulate it
>>
>>741347846
and steam is still the most popular gaming platform of all
>>
>>741348628
steam is a storefront not a gaming platform
>>
>>741348384
only if you dont use it for like 10 years and that's just a chance after that
>>
>>741346517
Nintentoddlers are pathetic
Why are they so keen to pay more for useless plastic?
>>
>>741348889
that only applies to rewritable flash memory where the memory controller can refresh weak cells. nintendo carts do not work like that which is both good and bad thing. they will last much longer when unused but also cannot be "refreshed" by booting them up.
>>
>>741346581
My guess is the price, full cart is 50 meanwhile cuck cart is 35$.
>>
>>741348384
some 3DS carts in particular were just bad
for the others it's not a practical issue unless you run them through a read/write wringer 24/7 for a decade and you can't even write to them anyways so my prediction is they will last practically forever
of course it's not PS1 CD levels of eternium but it's good enough
>>
>>741349104
Makes zero sense. The digital version will be 35 so just buy that if you like renting.
>>
I hope they're not stupid enough to abide by twitter poll results when ninety percent of the retards voting for the full cart aren't gonna buy it anyway.
>>
>>741349703
>B-but I can't resell it!!!
That's about it, probably they want to look at the box in the shelf too.
>>
>>741346517
digital download. I'm sick of my kids throwing game carts and losing them in the couch.
>>
>>741349280
they're rated for 20 years at 85C which ofc is quite unrealistic worst case scenario. we'll see when titles like Pokemon B&W2 start reaching that age in the next decade.
>>
>>741347776
Which you shouldn't have to do.
>>
I would rather have the low price. Games cost too much already.
>>
>>741352591
It's not cheaper. You can just buy digital.
>>
>>741346517
>imagine paying 15 more just so you don't need to download the 200Mb game
LMAO
>>
>>741346517
This is probably one of those things where people say they'd rather have the $15 more expensive one but then they don't buy it.
>>
>>741346517
who actually cares about physical cartridges? i make more than enough money, but i'd still rather get a cheaper game in a digital format
>>
I will never buy a key cart
>>
>>741349703
The Nintendo market is full of people that treat buying games like investing because their old copy of Pokemon 5x'd so they want to buy everything physically even though most old Wii games are worth nothing.
>>
>>741352961
I get physical if I'm not 100% confident about the game, so I can sell it off later if it disappoints

>>741348954
You really suck at this.
>>
>>741346517
I Was at Best Buy the other day and I saw that they had a physical copy of Skyrim for the switch 2 but it was a fucking key card, Skyrim was on the switch one with a regular cart why do this and make people spend 60 bucks on an almost 20 year old game?
>>
>>741353058
they like the idea of you losing access to it someday (so you buy the game again)
>>
>>741353012
you can sell nintendo virtual keycards too, either way, why buy a game if you're not sure about it? watch some videos, read some reviews, then decide if it's for you, don't let the fomo win
>>
>>741353462
>you can sell nintendo virtual keycards too
I can sell actual cards for more.
>watch some videos, read some reviews, then decide if it's for you
I already do all of that. Sometimes it turns out to not be for me anyway. I'm guessing you haven't been playing video games for long if this is a new idea to you.

I'm just not buying key carts, anon. Don't get sore about it. It doesn't affect you at all.
>>
>>741352972
The key card is still worse then because it has worse resell value.
>>
i boughted the nintendo DS lite
>>
>>741353614
no need to attack someone or take it seriously because of a suggestion, friend, just stating the obvious.
i'll also add that the money you get for the sale has a proportional relationship to what you paid. sure, you can hoard cartridges and sell them in the deep future for collector's prices, but switch cartridges have way shorter lifespan than prior gen cartridges, so make of that what you will. anyway, i'm on a basket-weaving forum, i'm not a cop, do whaterver you want.
>>
>>741346581
Some people are just straight up fucking stupid. Like, cognitive skills of a toddler.
>>
>>741348168
Retards
>>
>>741355720
Some old DS/3DS cartridges are already not working, it remains to be seen if the memory in Switch cartridges will fail in the same way. Goes for both GKCs and actual games.

Extremely based, I can't say the same unfortunately, since my last one was the Switch. But the GBA is great, i kept mine from when i was a kid(the black one) and 2 years ago i found the AGS 101 model, the one with the better screen, on fb marketplace at a good price. Fun fact, it's actually from ique, the chinese subsidiary that handled nintendo console realeases on china, so thats kinda cool
>>741346695
NTA, but since you ask, here are mine. Most of them are from when i was a kid, and others i bought later when i was older, like that Zelda bootleg collection, and the EZ flash omega. Plus i also have Pokemon leafgreen but i couldn't find it
>>
>>741346517
Obviously I pick the one that has more. That’s just logic. I’m all digital these days though because fuck hauling and storing all that shit.

Lol, thanks for posting that Rotty and reminding me, i also got the collector's Shantae advance. I forgot since i have it on display on my shelf, lel
>>
>>741346581
>>741346627
>>741356479
Both require an Internet connection before the game is in a playable state and a game card has slower storage so it'll be an inferior experience I don't want to play extra for

Hope this helps
>>
>>741359257
Not a single good game there
>>
>>741363751
Most of them are shovelware trash, but since when Tetris and Megaman Zero aren't good games?
