Best VTM game and it's not even close. Don't even think about suggesting games with dogwater combat like Redemption and Bloodlines 1 are better. It's better to be a focused, linear action game than a bad attempt at an RPG.

right, but VTM 2 is a bad attempt at an RPG

this is my favorite instant coffee brand
>>
oh shit the devs managed to scrounge up 2 dollars for a shill thread
VTM:B1 is better
>>
>>741347597
>focused linear action game
>has useless sidequests
>many storyquests go nowhere
>action is mid at best
This game does literally nothing well

Its 50% off
Wondering if i should bite the bullet but that dyke hair cut on the cover is a real turn off.
>>
>dogwater
Trying too hard.
>>
VTM is a roleplaying game franchise.
Bloodlines 2 is not an RPG.

Dogwaterâ„¢ Brand Water is water specifically tailored for your little pupper's mental and physical health! Vitamins! Minerals! Dog Strength Particles! All your dog needs to be a doggo full time

No, VTMB2 is not an RPG. The game's director told Paradox "this is not Bloodlines 2" and it was "NOT an RPG".

I have no idea where some people got the idea VTMB2 had any intention of being an RPG. Probably overhang of it being called Bloodlines 2. Publisher insisted, see.

The action is excellent. Like a mixture of Condemned and Trepang2 with the sliding and dual wielding and slow motion.

Also, they did trim the main questlist so thr critical path through the story is now 5 quests shorter.

Mario was a platformer franchise. But alas, Mario Kart. And Mario Tennis. And Mario Golf. And Dr Mario. And Mario Party.

I'm replaying BL1 and honestly I think this game exists as a phantom in people's minds. The writing is not that good. The quests are not that good. The gameplay is shit but we all knew that. Nothing is fun mechanically.

It has great ideas. But it's a slog. It runs out of steam with a few hours and it just gets worse and worse. Every single character is written in this same proto atheist redditor voice. This feels like a game that's gonna get a remaster and the remaster will make the whole house of cards fall down.

The patches hugely improved the game, but the pacing is still fucky. The Fabien sequences should have been reworked, trimmed, anything. They are important narratively but fuuuuuuuuck they're bad for pacing. They were originally story DLC. That's why the game calls them "mk" for "The Malkavian", the name of the planned DLC about a nameless Malkavian detective. The way they crowbarred them into the linear central story was not a good idea.

Sorry, I should have said BL1 and Redemption were utter turds from an ass mechanically.

I really hate the insistence of games having some "sidekick" know it all to guide you through the game. It's worked well in certain games like OoT, but the vast majority suffer for it because it's a lazy way to provide exposition, present gameplay mechanics, etc.

Learning that you'd be an Elder with a Malk in your head instantly turned me off from this game, and I shan't be playing until it's $10 or less.

We call it 'dogshit' here, redditor. You've outed yourself and the only recourse is to seppuku, lil tranny. I wish you well in the attempt.
>>
>>741347597
Has it been engoodened yet
>>
>>741350314
It was called Bloodlines 2 because they wanted the audience of the original to hand over cash for it. Of course it was nothing like the original but somehow shill niggers like you will try to say people are bad for expecting bloodlines 2 instead of blaming the publisher/developer for being lying niggers. Nigger.

Sar, this is an ACTION RPG this is not an RPG but it has RPG in its description but NOT an RPT

SAR! I DO BELIEVE YOU

It's a shitty rpg
>>
It's le nomad from le books and le stories and le legends! Tee hee, i can't believe you're interested in little old me. I'm just a nobody. Okay but since you asked would it be too much to ask for you to steal this book of forbidden magic from Lou's library? It will help me with that mark that I definitely know nothing about and am stumped by.
>>
>>741351659
That was Paradox's motivation. The devs told them that the budget was too low to make an RPG. And requested repeatedly that they change the name to manage expectations. Paradox felt they knew best, but none of the devs were happy about it.
>>
>>741351461
The combat is genuinely good now. That counts for a lot. It still has structural issues, and it feels like a game in crisis, though.
>>
>>741352547
Paradox and the developer disagreed on a number of things including calling it Bloodlines 2. It is technically an action RPG. It has XP and upgrade trees and yadayada. But the devs completely wrote of rhe idea of making a "proper" RPG back in 2021 when they looked at what was on the table.
>>
>>741352950
Ah so the reason it's a bad game is because it was developed not to be a good one
>>
>>741353121
You got it!
>>
I finished the game as Lasombra but I'm not paying full price for any of the DLCs, maybe in a year or two I'll try playing a Brujah cunt
>>
>>741353121
Why can't people wrap their head around a sequel to an RPG not being an RPG? Have they never played Project Snowblind?
>>
>>741353234
The DLCs are okay, but definitely hamstrung by budget. 2 hours each. Toreador one is better. Honestly feels like they were an excuse to get funding to rework the melee and shooting in the base game.
>>
redpill me on the first game
>>
Can't believe they're still paying this nigga, he sucks at his job.
