Star Fox and OoT already felt like movies to me. Immersive movies because they had good gameplay and they had a story to tell but it's all based around the gameplay and they don't fill in all the holes of the plot for you. Modern games don't leave anything left for interpretation, they think the audience is stupid and has to be handheld through everything (they're right) so that people can finish the games and feel included. Movies do the same thing now as well. They over explain everything to make sure you "get" the plot and leave nothing to dissect or analyze. I guess that's the same reason why I can't wrap my head around anyone wanting these games to have even more cutscenes and also voice acting. And I guess this is why book readers say their media is the highest form of media.

Making it a 1:1 remake was a pretty dumb decision. Some of the levels are going to be very underwhelming by modern standards.
All range mode levels outside of Venom2 should've been remade, and solar is kind of ass and deserves to be remade from scratch.
