I've lost several runs to aeonglass doing 100+ damage on turn 7 that would have cruised through any combination of queen, test subject, and doormaker. I finally played the game some after only reading the memes, and what was the problem with Doormaker exactly? He was easily the easiest boss of the 3. Lowest healthpool, lowest damage, free first turn, gimmicks that only affect some very specific builds. What were people sperging out, or was this an already nerfed version?

Test subject loses any buffs each time you kill him and progress his phases. Oh nice, didn't even notice the update was ready when I did my morning run. Speaking of, I had almost no offensive scaling and thought I was doomed, but I somehow managed to scrape by in large part thanks to Thorns and very judicious play. It took me 13 turns to kill doormaker and 15 to kill experiment.

Get as much block as possible.With Defect, it's tricky. You can't really make it without an insane amount of Focus. Even if you get good orb cards, if you don't gain the right powers (like Hailstorm or Echo Form, or Consuming Shadow), you are severely weakened What's so annoying about Defect is that there are so few general application cards. There are so many instances where you see card rewards for stuff that you need synergy to make it work, but you don't have it. And if you were hoping to take the card and find something later for it, but it never happens and you're stuck with what feels like a curse. (Channel Lightning for each power played but you have no powers, draw cards for each unique orb you have but you only have lightning, play an attack card from your draw pile but you are playing orbs, etc. Have a ton of 0 cost cards plus a Feral? Never find a single All For One. This happens all the time.

I really don't like how the game punishes certain builds, especially ones that focus on drawing and playing a lot of cards. Aeonglass totally fucked one of my runs earlier because I had a build like that. Like, you either play whatever you want and risk losing because you get hard countered or just don't play certain builds in case the act 3 boss fucks your ass.Also Hunter Killer feels like an elite.
