based on everything that we have seen so far, does /v/ predict that this will it be good, bad, or mid?
>Unreal Slop EngineYep, into the trash it goes.
>>741398654solid 7 ruined by buggy launch probably
>>741398654it's going to be a blandly written mid game like 90% of polish developed games.
The gameplay looks copy-pasted from The Witcher 3.
100% mid. It won't be bad but it wont really be that good either.
>>741398654It will have everything people liked about Witcher 3 without being Witcher 3, so everyone will hate it.
>>741398654The characters look way too cartoony for my taste, and the combat footage looked very generic. I hope it's good but we'll see.
>>741398654I'm optimistic
>>741398654Probably more buggy on release than Witcher 3 but not as bad as CP2077. There's pretty big chance (or I hope so at least) that it'll have the atmosphere of [Witcher meets VtMB]
>There is, however, a twist to Coen’s romantic life that Geralt never had to worry about: time. If you’ve read any of our coverage of The Blood of Dawnwalker, you’ll know the entire game is on a calendar system, and that completing objectives and quests pushes time forward. You have just 30 days and 30 nights to save your family from evil vampires, and so any time you spend developing a romantic plotline is stealing time away from rescuing your family.
>>741402303So doing side quests literally causes you to fail the entire game? Why tf are they there then?
>>741402530because the devs are fucking stupid and didn't bother to figure out how to balance the "romantic plotlline" with the self-imposed time constraint.
So far I have seen only fights with vampires. I need giant spiders, reptiles, vultures, cobras and shadow things to be entertained. Humanoids with a couple of sharp teeth get boring fast.
it will be buggy eurojank on launch like cyberpunk and witcher 3
>>741402530it progresses the game dumbass, you are supposed to pick only a set of quests, you aren't supposed to do ALL of them in one go
>>74140230310 bucks that the game doesn't even have NG+ because whatever fuckin reason.
>>741398654looks pretty mid
>>741404257First playthrough, save my family. Second playthrough, pick a romance and let my family die. Got it. Don't even really need to play it now! Fantastic marketing!
>>741405058>Don't even really need to play it now!how so?
>>741398654It doesn't have enough of a hook, and looks pretty generic. Also not much marketing momentum or hype. I predict a competent, maybe 8/10 game with disappointing sales and little to no cultural impact. Will probably be one of the losers of the "let's get out ahead of GTA6" fall slot.
>>741398654From the name alone it looks like derivative trash. How the fuck do you have a name so uncreative you end up with a mishmash of 'cool' words that all come from various FF14 expansion titles.
>>741398654The esl title pushes me off it
>>741402303i love this stuff, but a lot of people (subhumans) hate it. it's easily one of the reasons shit heads think fo2 is better than fo1. having a time limit that forces you to pay attention to the plot and not wander around like a dick head getting overpowered and collecting nonsense that only exists to pad game play is a good thing. i couldn't even finish tw3 because i got bored side questing
>>741407973His name is John Dawnwalker.
>>741407891>The Blood of DawnWalker>The Dawn of BloodWalker>The Walker of DawnBlood>The Walker of BloodDawn
>>741402303I hated Dead Rising for exactly this reason.
>>741408078Yeah and it sounds retarded and they would know that if they weren't esl
>>741398654I like how they've straight up said that this is only part one and that the next games will probably be set in the Victorian Era and then Modern Era
>>741402530You have to pick and choose what objectives are more important. Honestly, it could potentially work.. that being said, time progressing when you learn stronger abilities is dumb as fuck
