around a year and a half ago I paid 3000 for a gaming laptop that i thought was going to increase in price thanks to processors and components becoming more expensive. now i use this laptop to post here more often than i play video games.
and currently, I'm looking at getting a steam machine to play games on the 65" TV i bought last month instead of a PC tower because i like the feel of classic console gaming, despite the hardware that i already own being almost if not over 50% more powerful.

i do not use drugs or drink alcohol at all. how poorly have i made my decisions?

As long as you're happy, healthy and have a bed to sleep on anon

Good luck on getting the Steam Machine

You can really also make your own couch surfing pc and just use bazzite or cachyos, the experience to using steamos is the exact same for the couch

(or even using that laptop, but nvidia on linux is iffy)

>buying something to flip it
No respect for leeches and scalpers.

Why? Just plug in that huge laptop of yours and play
>>
>>741412826
because i also enjoy using my laptop to watch videos in bed, and i don't want to be constantly plugging and unplugging hdmi cables and power cords
>>
>>741412714
i wasn't intent on flipping anything, i was trying to get something before it costed even more money to obtain

you are a fucking idiot kike

take a hdmi cable and plug the laptop to your pc. buy another keyboard and mouse and connect them as well. there, have a cope desktop.

...why? How does one even do that without being considerably uncomfortable? Plus, don't you have a phone? I thought most people naturally gravitate to there phones for media enjoyment

Also, I hope you learned a valueable lesson on spending multiple grands on a laptop. At a certain grade, "high range gaming laptop", you're mostly just burning money for an extra 5 to 10% increase in performance. On top of that, you probably have a poor battery life too.

something like this
>Plus, don't you have a phone? I thought most people naturally gravitate to there phones for media enjoyment
navigating multiple tabs on a dinky little screen is much more of a pain than it sounds
>At a certain grade, "high range gaming laptop", you're mostly just burning money for an extra 5 to 10% increase in performance. On top of that, you probably have a poor battery life too.
battery life isn't a problem cause it's almost always plugged in. that said i still enjoy the portability cause it allows me to take my stuff with me when i visit family

Drinking while gaming is alot fun
>>
buying things based on a perception of the value the item may have to someone else when you go to sell it is retarded npc shit
every fucking retard knows computer hardware is outdated practically the instant it comes out of the box and nothing ever increases in value unless it's very rare or specialized hardware.

got a bad kidney, pal. can't risk it
also beer tastes gross
>>741413581
again, i never wanted to flip it
i just wanted something high-end for myself and i didn't think it would get any cheaper
>>
>>741413710

Well sure it does, if you're drinking piss water like Budweiser or Coors that is.

Stop jerking off and letting social media and general entertainment influence your behavior and thoughts and you wouldn't have made any poor decisions.
You're using the device every day and if it lasts will get more use for years to come without much struggle.

Attach a wacom tablet to it and learn how to sketch or a midi keyboard and learn some basic music editing and you'll get true value from it from learning how to express yourself through art.
There's still time for the wipeout of processors and ram to really kick off, renting data centers for cloud pc use is coming up soon and you'll have your laptop still.

I mean, it looks decent. I was going to call you retarded but it has a 4090, 32gb ram and 2tb ssd which are all ridiculously expensive right now. Although I am not sure how powerful the laptop version of a 4090 is.
>>
>>741414079
>Although I am not sure how powerful the laptop version of a 4090 is.
Only slightly better than a desktop 4070ti in term of benchmarks
>>
>>741414079
>Although I am not sure how powerful the laptop version of a 4090 is.
around a normal 4070, at last check
i also upgraded the SSD to a 4TB i got for christmas the same year - on my own, thankfully, cause the dudes at my local computer store wanted to do it for 200 bucks
wonder if i could get another 4TB ssd and do the same for the steam machine
>>
>>741412912
you should be able to use a docking station, so you just have to plug a USB-C cable into the laptop.
just as simple as plugging in your phone
>>
I spent over 2000 dollars on a used tenor saxophone instead of building a pc
I barely ever play it because it's so loud and I don't want my parents to hear me trying to practice
>>
>>741412403
Steam Machine sounds like a bad idea on a 65inch TV, not sure the 8GB of VRAM are able to send a 4K resolution with a decent framerate. But then if you're happy with 30fps tops I don't judge.
Sounds like a whole lot of bad ideas.
>>741412912
You shouldn't even bring your 3k$ laptop in bed, it will collect lint and hair and dust and shit.
Do as everyone else and watch vids on your phone in bed or stay comfy on your couch. Just plug your 4090 laptop into the TV, it's still better than a Steam Machine for playing games in 4K. And chill in your couch, a bed is for sleeping.

>>741415579
Now that's retarded as fuck. Your parents know you masturbate, if they knew you practice an instrument at least they would be proud.
And if they make a remark that you play wrong notes you tell them to fucking learn to play like you.
