I hadn't played it since forever, just got a match in after seeing this thread. The game is good but lacks content. The DLC is shit so I didn't buy it to avoid getting forced into the new shitty map. I wish they would at least add more skins.

I've gotten back into it and have been playing a lot of duo and solo runs. Solo with Guardian is great since you can just bully everything with the ridiculous stance damage he dishes out. Getting the Tricepholos raids are great since you can endlessly shield-poke most everything to death. Mogh still fucks me hard, though.Recently went to a LAN party where we played 6-player Nightreign. Once we got the connection issues solved and figured out how to play without blowing the breakers every 5 min (spoilers: don't hook up laptops to the same outlet you have a heavy-duty AC running) it was extremely fun. Playing with 6 Undertakers was extremely satisfying

Nightreign is aids. The gotta go fast gameplay loop is contrary to the slow methodical gameplay that souls fans actually like. The end bosses arent fun to engage with either because the runback when you die is now a 30 minute rng clown fiesta

The bosses are pretty good for the most part, but this is one of the most offensively bad games Fromsoft has ever made. And I played Enchanted Arms. You will never convince me Nightreign is good. There's no way this game is getting another DLC, let alone even an extra balance update or something. I enjoyed it though, 900 hours. more weapons and bosses would be nice but it wouldn't make each run feel that substantially more different honestly.
