Mass Effect 2 over 1 is actually a truth-nuke. Mass Effect 1 was still part of the Biowarization that ruined CRPGs with cinematic experiences and exhausting companion dialogue between each mission. Mass Effect 2 at least leans into its strengths instead pretending to be a real CRPG like the first one did. People pretending ME1 belongs with the "classics" are deluded.

Also none of that awful, copypasta dungeon shit that comprised the MAKO missions in the first one. ME2 is streamlined in a good way.
