How the fuck did they make this in 1995

>>741460571Fuck off, retard.
>>741460129the streaming audio program was technically impressiveit had some nice visually touches, and the graphics were well donetoo bad the game is mostly a slog
>>741460129It really was a pretty incredible game. It probably got overshadowed by a lot of the traditional RPGs at the time, but its ambition was unmatched. I remember emulating the original as a kid and having to finish it years later with the GBA release, and I was surprised even then by how much I ended up getting sucked into it by the end.
>>741460129god I really want a modern port of the cross edition or a remake, the remade every other game except abyss and legendia
>>741460129Because it used a 48 megabit (6 MB) cartridge, whereas almost every other SNES games used between 16 - 32 megabit (2 - 4 MB) ROMs, although there were some that had smaller. The only other game to have an equivalent size to ToP on the SNES was Star Ocean, which unsurprisingly, was made by a bunch of people who left the ToP development team and spun off their own studio instead. Due to the high cost to produce both of those cartridges and how late they came out during the SNES, both of them never got an official release outside of Japan.
Just play the PSX or PSP version with the (now complete) translation.
>>741460129One of the programmers was an amateur writer, they adapted one of his novels but realized they couldn't fit all of it, so they adapted only the last part. This is why the world seems alive and the twists are actually impressive.
that horse part of the game was so fucking random, it came out of almost no where and they decided to use it as the box art lmao
