It's like all the characters were dreamed up then drawn in crayon by 8-year-olds, and then their parents had to go execute those into 3D models. If Battleborn didn't try to compete with Overwatch and instead was held back for a couple months of polish + waiting for the OW hype to die down I think it would've done a lot better - probably not to the point where it BTFO Overwatch but it at least wouldn't have been Stillborn within a month. But as is pretty much everyone that wanted to play a hobby-grade MOBA hero shooter or whatever Randy called it was playing OW instead. Shame cause I had some good times on Battleborn before it became a ghost town.

There was already enough off putting stuff warning people away from it before it even launched. 2K knew how bad it was when they decided to put it in a Humble Bundle lot with other stuff for a pittance shortly after it came out to try and recoup some amount of money from it. Gameplay and whatnot aside just having the unnecessary always online requirement put enough people off even giving it a chance to begin with. It was never going to survive at full retail price.
