But the other main pricing difference is how Rising compares to SF6 and Tekken 8's live service models. SF6 constantly releasing Avatar content that no one really asks for, and Tekken 8 having a microtransaction shop really sours them, whilst Risings Battle Passes, whilst FOMO (even though the content has been added in later for in game currency, which you can't buy with real money, or for purchase from the store) still makes the game overall cheaper compared to most other fighters on the market. Yes you can buy the BP levels with real money too, but it takes 2 weeks tops in a multi month pass to get all the content on it if you do all the missions which is usually a match a day.

The only real point of contention is whether or not new games good or new games bad. That game had almost no GG characters because due to publisher disputes they were all owned by Sega, not by ArcSys, so Daisuke was prevented from using his own characters. Without being able to properly use the IP and needing money, they decided to make a new Guilty Gear clone series and casualize it to reach a wider audience, that's BlazBlue and that's why the initial cast is a bunch of not-GG characters. When people call the series hardcore now it's because later games made it complex, and some people were coping hard when Strive released that the same would happen with it.
