To be fair, you need to have a very high IQ...
>>
How about you Witness(tm) this 7

Is this worth playing? I got gifted it for free
>>

It's a solid puzzle game but it also huffs its own farts badly. The environmental puzzles are often easy to spot but very difficult to get because you have to stand in the perfect spot at the perfect time. The audio logs are not compelling and the parody is about as good as the real thing.
>>
>>741542960
When you say puzzles are we talking like Picross or more Outer Wilds? How long is the game?
>>
>>741541814
All the shape puzzles make me wish I had actual physical objects I could use to test layouts.
>>
desu figuring out the obscure rules of a puzzle is not a fun feature
>>
>>741542347
Yeah
>>
>>741542960
>at the perfect time
?

>The audio logs are not compelling
They're mostly just famous quotes, what's wrong with that

>>741544343
Why didn't you make some, you fucking retard? I used a scissors and graph paper.
>>
>>741543224
Nta. We're talking drawing lines on a grid. Sometimes how the line is drawn is dictated by dots, squares, triangles, sometimes it's see-through and you have to use the environment to tell you what to do.

The game is fine, but the story is shit. Even The Talos Principle II had a better story.
>>
>>741544857
What story, it was just a general vibe.
>>
>>741542347
>Is this worth playing? I got gifted it for free
It exists and you could play it. Should you? If you're really really bored, then maybe, then again i'd still sleep on it.
>>
>>741542347
About half of it is really good, and the other half is dogshit. The best part is that's not in any particular order. It's like a really pretentious roller coaster.

Overall it's okay
>>
>>741544857
This is a lie. Talos 2 was an abomination of a story. Only a faggot atheist would even put it above any other game for story.
>>
>>741542347
if you don't mind the fact that the island is genuinely just puzzles and puzzles and nothing else to keep your interest or ignite your curiosity, then yeah
>>
>>741541814
You don’t actually because there’s nothing to understand. It’s just drawing lines on a board.
>>
>>741544401
It was fun for me
>>
>>741544630
>solved it through pure intuition
>didn't understand why it was the correct solution
>probably not random chance
that was the one puzzle in the entire game that was like that for me.
>>
>>741544624

>>741542347
Yes. It's good.
>>
>>741541814
The puzzle game is excellent and it has nice presentation and atmosphere. The only bad point is the "story" which is indeed trash but 95% skippable with zero effort (in fact you need to expend effort to get the narrative bits). Obviously it is rightfully used to shitpost about the dev but just ignore it by abstracting the game as "you're stuck on an islands with puzzles and that's it" and it becomes a 9/10.
Note that as complained by the low IQs ITT, the game expect you to figure out how the puzzle works without a zazzy tutorial of every feature. One part is also sound based which apparently fiiltered the players with trash hearing.
>>741544401
Pearls before swine, it's the best part.
>>
>>741543224
Imagine Outer Wilds but instead of flying around planets and finding cool and interesting things, you walk around slowly and find picross puzzles. I found it incredibly boring, to me walking around looking for puzzles doesn't count as a puzzle.
>>
>>741550480
I felt the same way about Braid, 10/10 cool puzzle game if you ignore the retarded story entirely. Must be this guy's calling card.
>>
>>741546730
This is the most accurate description of it. One minute you're having a genuine "oh shit I get it" moment and the next you're staring at a panel wondering if Blow expects you to solve it or apologize to it.
>>
>>741551850
My issue was the point of view mechanic. The first time it happened I thought it was neat, but by the time you're on the 6th one that you've correctly identified in the environment and wasted 20 minutes trying to stand in the correct spot to be able to solve the puzzle you figured out 20 minutes ago, it wears out its welcome.
>>
>>741551850
Original anon here lol. Contrary to the other anon, the things I most enjoyed were things involving perspective and the environment. Even the tree platforms I enjoyed to some degree.

The half I most hated was when it was just another room full of tablet puzzles. Boring.
>>
>>741544857
Good thing it's a video game, not a movie.
>>
I just don't like these kinds of puzzles.
I love the talos principle myself (though like a retard, I didn't finish the DLC), I don't know if it's because you move around a lot more or the puzzles seem more engaging to me. I couldn't get into the witness. Some puzzles fucked with me in such a way that instead of thinking "ah, clever!" I felt insulted or fucked with.
I played Braid long, long, long ago (I have the original on Steam). I thought of getting the anniversary edition but I saw a review recently that basically narrowed it down to "the extra levels are pretty fucking good but it's hidden behind layers and layers and layers of bullshit"

I tried, I really did. I figured out the sounds were involved, I couldn't figure the pattern. I took notes and shit.

I didn't realise you were meant to look through the tinted glass on the door or whatever. Possible to guess without it but I looked it up.

Kek, I joined the discord for this game because I couldn't figure out one of the puzzles. Out of nowhere Blow showed up, completely lost his shit when I started trolling him a bit. Bizarre experience.

>>741542347
Yes it's good.
>>
>>741544857
There is barely a story present. It's just gameplay and vibes.

Somebody gets hit by the red gravity, and it makes them super heavy, so they have super strength, but, like, they're also really slow. And another guy gets hit by microwave gravity. So he's trying to zap everybody, and just when he's about to zap the main guy, we see a lady come out, and she turns out to be Ultraviolet Girl, and she has Super-Speed, so she beats him. And it, like, also gave her giant cans.
