This could arguably be the best of the original trilogy but was it a case of holding back on some prominent mythological characters for the third installment? Poseidon, Hades, Hercules, etc it seemed like they saved the most well known gods for part 3

I know we generally consider the PS2 > PS3 but GOW3 is a great PS3 game that truly utilized the hardware to be next gen, it’s true GOW2 feels more like an adventure but GOW3 just had such great boss battles

Has anyone plays Ascension? I loved the OG trilogy and the PSP duology. I heard Ascension was bad, like really bad, but never bothered playing it. Is it worth playing?

>>741544352I have it played through it when it came out it had a few good boss battles from what I remember like the Hecatonchires that made it worth the price of admission alone but I actually liked the multiplayer mode and wish they brought something like that back basically a 3D brawler

I also don't like how Kratos was handled in this game, it was the start of his character assasination, right from the first few seconds of the game it just feels incredibly dumb. I think all the criticism of GOW franchise and Kratos comes from this game and not the first, because GOW 1 Kratos handled him perfectly, it's a classic greek tragedy story, imo.Idk, I just really liked GoW1 more, loved the pacing, love how Kratos was developed, how atmospheric and lonely the adventure felt, and it was actually subtle when it needed to, but not to the point the norse game took it. Kratos' character was also completely destroyed in this game.I don't even remember Ascension's story but I do remember is how I felt while playing it. It felt like the video game equivalent of 'trolls remorse' for the devs, like they regreted turning Kratos into the Kratos from 2 and 3, but also in the process lumped GOW1 Kratos with their mistakes, not sure if on purpose to share the blame or they didn't pick up on it.GoW 2018 feels like a redo of this idea but even more pathetic and cucked. I didn't bother with ragnarok but I assume it's worse seeing how stupid that new spin off gow game looks, how do you make a gow game without kratos? lol what? just make a different franchise if you're tired of working on GoW then.
