Does anyone actually like Jax?
Like I get it, smartass characters that are sarcastic all the time are popular(see: House) but they also either need to A) have some semblance of actual genuiness hidden beneath their snark, or B) need to ACTUALLY be smart and witty and funny.
Jax is neither, he's just a boring cunt.

My biggest problem with the show is that, from the get-go, the central conflict was always their human nature of wanting to be free against the omnipotent god-machine, that, while mostly benevolent, genuinely could not understand humanity at it's deepest level. And that, although certainly not handled perfectly, was interesting.
And this finale just like... has them just accept the fact they're brain scans in 2 minutes, forgive the literal Demiurge and have gay sex with him in another 2 minutes, see their own REAL counterparts in the place they've always wanted to escape to in another 2 minutes, then spend 40 minutes talking about Jax transvestism.

The House comparison is actually really good, because for all his dickery and smartassery, House was by far the most moral character in the show. He was willing to sacrifice everything to save others, and he never once compromised in his convictions.
