Are there any RPGs set during the bronze age? The medieval period is so boring and have been done to death

>The medieval period is so boring and have been done to death
Yeah, it's been done to death in Kingdom Come and Darklands and Pentiment and...
uh...

Actual historical bronze age rpg? Not aware of any, would be too hard for video game dev hacks to make one anyway, most likely.
There are some fantasy bronze age games, I think, like Dark Sun, Tyranny, maybe more I forget now.

it's boring because games only focus on combat

>Medieval period bad
>Medieval period but all metal has a fugly orange red color good.
Steel is always better than bronze.
Especially quenched and tempered steel.

bannerlord and every single fantasy game that has knights.
>>
>>741549335
We hardly know enough about bronze age civilizations to deliver a convincing non fiction game that isn't just about agriculture
>>

Bannerlord is early to high medieval. Which is a fairly rare setting, because most fantasy games are only late medieval or just kitchen sink of different periods, also early modern.
Iron age is also rare.

I love shang dynasty niggas

The bronze age collapse could be kino and we at least know something about the eastern Mediterranean around then. Who wouldn't want to sail around and send civilization after civilization into a centuries-long dark age?

>old China is borderline identical to Aztecs and sheeet
I knew new worlders are a yellow subspecies, but come on

>we at least know something
why did the bronze age collapse?
>>
>>741549523
And bannelord, and Total war, Assgreed and Stronghold from what I remember.
The problem is that lots of games set their fiction on a medieval based environment, and there are lots and lots of medieval fantasy games in the market, to the point it has become tiresome. On the other hand, bronze age is an unexplored age for both movies and games
>>
>>741549335
isn't conan exiles basically that?
>>
>>741549335
You WILL play the low effort medieval Tolkienesque fantasy slop.
>>
>>741551218
Conan is it's own thing, and armor and clothes there are not really historical. Also, they have iron and steel in the setting.
>>
>>741550118
Make it a fantasy setting and take heavily from what we know from actual bronze age (as well as stone age communities that existed alongside) for inspiration.
>>
>>741549335
Just play that shitty cuck porn game CoC 2. It is unironically set in the bronze ages, probably as a humiliation fetish thing so the player won't ever get a steel weapon.
>>
>>741549876
Bronze doesn't rust and you can make literally anything out of them using molds and casting them.
>>
>>741551218
Conan's world is post bronze age collapse
>>
More Shang Dynasty art please!!

I think it's funny that many games feature early modern knight armor but refuse to also feature cannons and early handguns.

>why did the bronze age collapse?
Economic and total systems collapse coinciding with mass migration fueled further by an ecological shift.

>Shang regularly sucking up slaves from the surrounding lands to lop their heads off with decorated bronze axes
Brutal
>>
>>741549335
Tiranny.
Can never finish that shit due to the sheer amount of text and subpar gameplay.
>>
>>741553415
Human sacrifice was unfortunately pretty common in the past.
>>
Only if there is a quest where some guys sells you shitty bronze ingots.
>>
>>741549795
The fuck else would they focus on? Menial labor? Going to church? Just do that shit irl
