what are the odds that the PS6 and XBOX TWO are the first full fledged home consoles that don't come with a disc/cartridge slot?
>>741552165They'll want to keep costs down so yeah probably sell a drive as an add-on.
100%. Nobody uses discs anymore. And shaving off $100 and funneling it back into specs would be a good move. That said consoles should be made fro prisons. Should use massive capacity discs maybe and stream from them.
If there's no physical option, ill just go full steam/Nintendo
>>741552684enjoy your cuck key cards
>>741552684Nintendo doesn't have a physical option now though. Has those little key cards that make no sense, or kind of do if you lose your email, but are much more likely to lose the little card.
>>741552754Only Square went full key card, most games are fully in the cartridge, even fucking cyberpunk (granted it does need a patch for bugs apparently)

Physical only really works now as a way to "get around delistings". If you have a physical disc and you put it in you can play the game and even get the updates despite not being able to buy it on the digital store. In practice though, most people find other ways to play Xbox 360 and PS3 now. And don't do things "by the book". Especially when the prices of these delisted games are $100+.It's sad to see shelf frisbees go though. Nothing beats cracking the plastic on a fresh game and throwing it in. Even if it is all performative ritual now.
>>741552952I think it's too much work to put in a disc. It's too much work as it is to turn on a tv and select a game.

Xbox is going full hybrid. It’ll essentially be a prebuilt pc with an Xbox dashboard and steam.
>>741552165Nintendo is the only physical option left. Sony and Microsoft already don't have any
