The actual Sonic Generations part of the game is just a modern port of the original, which is fine because the original release was a pretty janky PC port.

>>741608294Shadow Gens is a smaller campaign that runs off of Frontiers gameplay heavily altered under Hedgehog Engine 2, Sonic Gens is in there still under HE1 and basically intact besides redone dub/tweaked cutscenes and dialogue for the worse, Drop Dash for both Sonics, and no embedded Sonic 1 emulation. They bundle the games together to effectively justify Shadow Gens being a notably shorter game even if both are still short altogether.
