Thus leaving Starbreeze/Overkill at the whims of the Payday 2 players generosity and supposedly 505 games. Devs are to blame as well but there was a lot more at play is the point. I could imagine similar things happening with a lot of these companies, they just fail to understand the product and what the customers like and can't sustain themselves or their growth at the very least. While there are many reasons the game failed and a lot of them have been given in the thread I see no one mentioning that the game is using unreal engine 5 and that most KF2 players just can't run KF3 in good conditions to begin with when they have a laptop with a 1060M.
