Recently played the demo of this game after an anon recommended it in a previous action game thread.Still VERY green, no pun intended, a needs a lot of polish. But there's potential in thereAlmost reminded me of a 3d version of fucking melee of all things, with the way dodging preserves and even lets you build momentum.On the bad side, the game is very janky, a lot of hitboxes feel a lot tighter than they should and hitting stuff is generally kinda hard. And on that regard, it could have an expanded moveset, like some sort of magic or ranged attack as the boy (maybe a fishing rod since we are playing as a kid hunting frogs). Likewise, is also hard to track things so maybe a lock on or a reworked camera would fit. You are only fighting a single enemy so i don't see why the camera shouldn't be following it.On the bright side, the movement feels good (but still janky). Since hitting things is hard, you actually want to be moving around a lot in the hopes that something does connect. And in that regard, the combos are a bit weird since you have to make the string connect yourself by dashing and moving, so it does feel pretty rewarding when you actually keep the string going. And the whole premise is pretty fun and the writing did make me chuckle with the frogs.I'll keep an eye on it.

Been trying a little bit of everything lately.>Dust Front demoSuperb aesthetics but game design fumbles it a bit. In particular, comically inaccurate artillery. I understand the logic behind it, but the big cannon shooting like 30 degrees off of a relatively close target is ridiculous.>Powerplay demoAs a generic RTS, it's okay, nothing exceptional. The so-called factorio elements(belt transporters) seem to serve no puprose outside of being a fancy replacement for generic harvesters. The gameplay has hiccups but seems solid otherwise. Would probably play the full thing when it's out.>Endless AliceI knew that Risk of Rain wouldn't work quite as well in 3D and was finally proven right. Still, it's fun enough to run around and blast things away.Arctic EggsA rather unique cooking game where you flip things on a pan. I greatly enjoyed the visuals and atmosphere, and gameplay is surprisingly engaging with a variety of things you can flip around. I played Blood West last year and even though I don't really like cowboy stuff I loved the shooting, loved the environmental design, and loved the looting. Shooting a motherfucker in the head and stealing his shit got me through 1k hours of borderlands and this ticked a lot of the same boxes. A few weeks ago they released a roguelike/extraction shooter mode that I've been having a love/hate relationship with because it's a lot of fun and some of the items they added are really interesting (particularly ones that scale with how many in-game days have passed), but enemies are just a little too able to kill you out of nowhere for it to feel truly fair unless you play it incredibly safe. Definitely one of the only games I've uninstalled in frustration and then reinstalled.

I didnt realize it was a vtuber game until I started playing it, i dont watch them but the game itself is pretty damn good. Made by the Freedom Planet team which shows in the level design, fun level gimmicks, great platforming, enjoyable combat even if a bit too easy to mash through. The time slow/speed mechanic is cool, but speed seemed underutilized compared to slow.
