The reason so much of modern horror is just slashers, subtle paranormal shit and weird psychological shit is cause they're cheap to make dumb fucks. I thought Obsession was pretty good but I think it was enhanced a lot by its sound and won't play as well outside of theaters. It was a pleasant surprise for me even so because the last two horror films I saw in the cinema were Longlegs and Weapons, which were both shit despite the latter's praise, so I expected the same of Obsession.
