Now that the dust has settled, can we say it's the worst Mario Kart game?
Yes, it's funny how hard Nintendo are coping about how bad the whole open gimmick is. Players literally taking steps to avoid it just so they can play regular Mario Kart and then Nintendo patching it because "they're playing the game wrong"
APPROACHING SOUND BARRIER
>>741626661Best selliing console btw, cope harder snoy
>>741626661I'm just happy people are finally realizing how peak even the vanilla Wii U version of 8 was
>>741626661Absolutely not.
>>741627396>1 itemNah. 8 Deluxe was better.
>>741627395>b-but sony
>>741626752This and the 24 racers gimmick, numbers like this work on stuff like F-Zero but definitely not on fucking Mario KartBut here is what all of this makes me wonder: Is even possible for them to bring back old courses for DLC without completely bothering them for the new game format? This sounds like are shooting their own feet
double dash was the last good mario kart ds had terribly designed tracks wii is barren and has completely soulless ui and is basically only playable funky kong flamerunner 7 continues the soulless mario kart trend and just throws more gimmicks onto it 8 has only one item box and no holding an item behind you to carry another + coins 8dx was completely fucking inundated with tour maps so you can't play online without the shitty terribly designed mobile game nothing maps shoving themselves down your throat world instead of tour maps forces highways onto you for 90% of the game in which nothing happens and you just flipflop between first and 24th over and over
Why have they abandoned the game?
>>741627814They'd have to make whole land masses with like 4 tracks all connected together or linking up to the main land mass or something, adapting them like the other retro tracks into the world.
I feel like the gimmick could have worked better if they halved the open world distance between tracks and then you race at least 2 laps on the destination.I barely got familiar with track layouts due to the fact you only get to see 1 lap and then are done, and it's always such a jarring experience to be racing a straightaway for nearly 2 minutes just to be thrust into a course with tight turns that does not match up with anything you were doing (or rather, not doing) before.
Yeah. The 8000 point hamster wheel, swoops on robhogs in vs, bowsers on reel racers in knockout, the item system that encourages bagging for better items if you're not in first second or third.
I'm not buying MKW until he comes back.
>>741626661That's not Super Circuit
>>741626661No. It's a poor followup to 8 Deluxe though. The bar was just too high.
>>741630108It's a preview of what they're going to have to do to follow Smash Ultimate
What's more fun for single player the switch 1o r switch 2 mario kart
>>741627980never cared about DD either, hated the constant stupid whistling in the OST. annoyed the fuck out of me
>>741626661Super circuit chads can't stop winning
>>741626661I hate double dash for how it controls like ass but it has a lot of soul so it's hard for me to say which one is worse.
>>741630486They're going to make an open world Smash?
>>7416276211 item is how the game should be played, not this brainless swapping bullshit that the games suffer from now
>>741633997>mario kart was never good
>>741627698Just a reminder that if you can't make a better argument than that it means I'm right and I win!
>>741627980>double dash was the last good mario kart>every kart regardless of weight handles like butter and flops around everywhere>zero special item balance: you are at a distinct disadvantage if one of your characters isn't Koopa Troopa or Paratroopa>splitscreen removes a significant number of obstacles from each track like the fire rings in Waluigi Stadium or the podoboos in Bowser's Castle
i think this game came in REAL hot for the switch 2's launchto the point where it's a 2027 game released in 2025. having to add in any sort of completion tracker for the "open world" and volume options post-launch are the highlights here
>>741627396>vanilla Wii U version of 8Lol no.
