>CD Projekt RED co-CEO Michał Nowakowski believes that the Polish gaming giant hasn’t truly recovered from the atrocious launch of Cyberpunk 2077.

>Released in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 launched in an atrocious state. While some claim that it wasn’t too bad, the game’s launch—even on PC—was a dismal affair, especially coming after the strong release of The Witcher 3. On Xbox One and PS4, it was even worse, with the game’s technical state forcing PlayStation to pull the game from their store.

>Today, Cyberpunk 2077 is not only playable, but a fantastic first-person RPG. Despite some lingering issues, it’s one of the greatest games of the last generation

Is it finally time to forgive CD Projekt for their sins?

It is time to forgive CDPR of 2010. the CDPR of 2020's is not the same, different crew and devs. Witcher 4 will flop, because "the CDPR" that made the Witcher series no longer exists.

No, most of you seem too retarded to recognize that Witcher 3 was also a shitty release. Hell, even game systems like skills and gear were completely overhauled later because, same as Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 was shoved out the door half-baked and people ate it up only to collectively suffer amnesia and now praise it. And let me tell you what: it's even shit today. After all these years, it's still a lackluster action game with 0 redeemable RPG mechanics. All you do is A-click Geralt through a well-written story with a fucking MMO-like game system and world. At least Cyberpunk has RPG systems and some decision build. I think they never changed, and Cyberpunk was a fluke catching lightning in a bottle, and even that went really close to being shit.
>>
>>741629452
I don't want to play as Ciri
>>
I don't really trust CDPR any more and will only pirate their games if I want to play it. I don't care how much they fixed the game post launch. It taking years after launch is embarrassing. I hope they just fucking delay their games if they're buggy messes. Can't trust them anymore. The only good thing that came out of Cyberpunk is the anime making the cute short-stack.

you vastly overestimate the popularity of the witcher without gheralt and god of bore. i still remember playing "boi" on hardest difficulty and turning it off when every SINGLE boss became a script trigger sequence, its not fun its a movie with buttons.
>>
>>741628635
No Man's Sky is a fucking poison pill designed to neuter the masses. Sure, they "fixed" the game years after, but that's basic decency, not something "extraordinary" — it should not be praised, it should be demanded!
But that's not even the worse part. The worse part is that they built and designed a game only consisting of puzzle pieces that will never fit into a full picture. It's all a trickle of lackluster-designed single-pillar content while the core gameplay is rotting and festering. Systems got introduced only to then die off in a half-baked state, major exploits persist, and exploration doesn't really matter. And again, gullible, mouthbreathing players praise them for this cancer-ridden product only because it's all free. No ounce of integrity or demand for something consistent, only the constant drip of sloppy content to consume.

>>
>>741629452
Maybe, but I’m still not buying and sales will dwindle outside of the usual LGBTQ cultist subhumans
>>
The bugs were never the issue.

It was the fact the game lied about 90% of its content, and is still missing it, but because they patched out the bugs it's "redeemed"

Investors told them they could be the next GTA so they made a GTA wannabe piece of shit.
I knew what was coming with all the cinematic shit, I just never expected such a linear shitty game could release so broken, but I guess most of their talent left after the Witcher 3 so they had to outsource it to Ameeicunts.

Yeah, but at least they made good RPGs and had their own engine.
Going public killed them and all their talent is long gone now.

Cybershit being a wannabe GTA with terrible aesthetics was the final nail in the coffin for me.

When Trigger first made their debut, they were heralded as the saviors of anime. After pulling not just Cyberpunk out of the fire, but now also Wuthering Waves, they might as well be known as saviors of gaming as well.

I hate how 90% of the cyberware is just +10% to X if Y. There's only a few bits that actually change how you play, and nothing besides the arm augs (which barely count) change how you look. You can have every slot filled and you still look like you're barely chromed up

Obviously not.
Also stop associating the anime with it you disingenuous fucks. The game is woke as shit that the developers themselves loath the show and the fact they are only on the map again because of it.
They especially hate the entire concept of Rebecca.
You know it's bad when the only 3D appearance of the cast is a fucking Chink gacha because only those weebs have the money and fucks given

CD Projekt RED received genuine divine intervention with Studio Trigger single-handedly restoring goodwill and interest in their botched game. Without it this game would still rightfully be remembered as a launch disaster. I'm not exaggerating ether the player count spike post Edgerunners had a ton of players who hadn't flipped on the game since it's awful launch turned on the game again and gave it another chance. Other failed games do not get that kind of help.
