I've taken to something I've started to refer to as "bunker gaming".

Essentially, I try to get every single device I own as capable as possible to play as many games as possible. All in anticipation of the internet eventually being inaccessible to the common man or other situations that prevent further piracy. As well as future proofing as many devices as possible in anticipation that they will slowly give out over time leaving me with less options as I become an old man.

My current set up
>PC is loaded up with as much of myrient as I could reasonably download as well as full sets from further sources. Have basically everything besides the big disc systems and 3DS/Vita. Aiming to get up to PS2/GC/Xbox/PSP as full sets but probably going to have to pick and choose for PS3/360/3DS/Wii/WiiU/Switch/Vita.
>Hacked 3DS loaded up with 3DS games, DS games, emulated games, etc
>Hacked Vita loaded up with Vita games, PSP games, emulated games, etc
>Hacked WiiU loaded up with WiiU Games, Wii Games, GameCube games, DS games, tons of emulated games, etc
>DS with Flashcart
>N64 with Everdrive and NES/Gameboy emulators loaded on
>Phone loaded up with small recomp ports, emulation, and other games that don't deal with Google play fuckery/ads at all
>Phone, Steam Deck, and PC emulators share saves via sync thing

Still planning on getting
>Genesis Flashcart
>Saturn Flashcart
>Dreamcast hardware mod
>Mister FGPA
>Hack my Wii
>Repurpose old PC parts from two old builds into living room PC/media server for apartment
>Figure out more to do with a hacked switch (have jig and it's jailbroken it just felt limited and janky when I looked into what I could do with it a few years ago)

You would have bigger problems than bing bing wahoo.
>>
How about you just fucking play games instead of prepping like a retard.

A normalfag like you will have bigger problems than bing bing wahoo

I am autistic. Ill get the first solar powered handheld even if it can only do Atari 2600/NES/GB because I'll be damned if I'm not going to Vidya

And how do you plan on powering this

Modify a handcrank flashlight to charge any device from the motion of my hand fapping my penor.

Same. I have the games I enjoy most on Steam set up for offline mode, and tested. I have thousands of roms from NES to PS2 with emulators tested and optimized.

All I need is electricity.

That's sort of the point of having devices all the way down to low power ones. DESU I should probably throw in an Arduboy FX-C because it's super low power and a backlight modded gameboy because it wouldn't even require a solar charger or incidental access to power sources

That's nice and dandy so on and so forth, but I think that the internet being inaccessible is a signal of much worse thinks to come. If I was you I would be researching stuff like growing your own food/vegetables, setting up communication, stocking medicine and how to conserve and maintain all that, plus a shitload of books, videos and all kinds of content on how to do make basic stuff. My point is that in such situation not being able to play games will be the least of your worries.

I would just off myself to the nearest graveyard

I worked in the wilderness for a decade. I take zero medicine that is critical to my survival. I'm in excellent health and hike/backpack and grow plants as hobbies on top of Vidya. I also live in the Midwest around tons and tons of farmland

Video games are my main concern because I'm going to hit the ground running on all the other stuff naturally unless I get murder looted but if that happens it's out of my hands anyway. Video games are the thing I won't inherently carry into the apocalypse without trying to.

Obviously my archive of shit includes books/movies/art/etc. But I like video games best and other survivalists will have food books so Vidya is my top priority

Being close to low pop areas with accessible drinking water is truly great.
I was just listening to a doc on the krakatoa eruption. Shit was completely fucked for 1.5 years, but the real damage was the continuous damage caused by the unrest.
Without chem fertilizer, crop yield can drop to 30-50%. The US is better set off than most countries due to being a food exporter with a quick ability to upscale based on demand. But it'd still be so fucked.
I was just thinking of stockpiling like 3 months of non-perishables and water.
That's a lot of research into shelf life vs cost vs nutrition vs taste vs energy needed to prepare.
