Judging by the parts to final pricing I'm going to assume it'll sell out because they at most commissioned like 10,000 of them. There's hardly any batch discount at all and that's generally how steam sells hardware.

I expected better CPU performance, at least a 7500F; it performs below a Ryzen 3700. I wanted more for proper PS3 emulation, although the base Steam Deck can handle PS3 games fairly well.
I had considered buying one but only at the right price, which it never was. I didn't want to spend $700+ on something that didn't feel like a $700 product. I could probably get just as far with another PS5 Pro (before they spiked in price).

Bad news is this thing is extremely overpriced for what it is and Valve will likely never try going into the hardware market again, good news is my 3060 desktop will get more mileage with games being optimized with the Steam Machine in mind. Except games using Unreal Engine, that engine is so far gone up it's own ass I've given up on any games using it.
