Fuck it, I may as well make it. I really, REALLY like how Third Strike and Garou (Mark of the Wolves) feel. They're both different but they feel so goddamn good to play. The neutral control in 3S, the tense, razorblade precision action and controls, the size of the buttons, the character proportions to screen ratio, it feels amazing. And Garou's more fast paced action, hard hitting sound effects, kinetic feedback, the charisma of the characters, it's amazing. But I fucking despise the way the games are balanced and (mostly) the movesets of both games. 3S is sloppily balanced and that was probably because the entirety of SF3 is rushed as fuck, but holy fuck does it make me angry to play against another Aegis Urien, Shinpuu Ken, Hyakuretsu Chun, Genei Jin Yun, SA 2 Makoto... like I'm just fucking sick of it. I do not like the balancing of supers in the game, the balancing of each characters is generally trash, movesets have either unnecessary additions (why the FUCK does makoto have a comboable grab) or neutered as fuck (Alex DDT only catching high, DP is not a real reversal and only works on standing, can't cancel from medium crouching kick, etc.) and to be honest, I'm not that interested in parrying. I think parrying is cool. But basing an entire game around it just seems like it messes up how the balancing works.

Getting a fight stick drastically improved the fun value. It takes some getting used to, and I have my concerns. But if you like fighting games a lot, take the plunge and learn on stick. Im playing fightan way more now cause its just more fun and satisfying.
