>even seasoned superplayers are dropping it because it's too hard
is mina the hollower really that challenging or is it just poorly designed? please discuss the game design

DSP drops everything so he can get back to the pokemon card grift

I think the game is overall okay but there's one specific aspect that completely ruins the game for me, and that's the fact that extremely large bosses have contact damage hitboxes that include the space that should be "behind" them in an isometric display. It just feels like crap to play IMO, I hate it.

This dude isn't even funny to shit on anymore because his chat just holds his hand through everything now. He used to rage like a tard and spike his controller.

I completed my first playthrough of the game with veteran mode modifiers enabled. Was pretty challenging and frustrating but nothing insurmontable. I did a 2nd playthrough on normal and only died once, but was also surprised at just how many checkpoints exist on the map. You are seldom punished for making mistakes. Shame I missed out on the carving man jumpscare wish I experienced that on a first playthrough

the weirdest design decision was having basically no progression item gates at all and gating every zone behind only difficulty

WHA HAPPEN?

Listening to that shitty music on loop would drive me into a rage. I can't imaging trying to play this dog shit game.

It's actually a very easy game and it's also poorly designed.
It's very much choose your own difficulty. There are a lot of trinkets you can equip that are basically a "you didn't really beat the game" and a lot of cheesy tactics/strategy to the point where some faggot will say you didn't really beat the game unless you did a whip only run with no underlabs and no sidearms and -1% completion and blah blah blah. Just play it like a shitty Zelda/dark souls/Castlevania and you'll have a good time.
The worst design decision, by the way, is letting you do the areas in any order. This is a good idea to make replayability interesting, and allow for "sequence breaking" (intended sequence anyway). It is a bad idea when it comes to difficulty curve, because pretty much every area except one or two can be done first... So those first 4 areas are a total joke after you've cleared one... Because you're already at least twice as powerful as originally expected. Like if you do bone beach first, the crypts, nox bayou, and septemburg will be a total joke... I did astral orrery as soon as possible, and it made the next two zones a total cakewalk. I assume the last zone might actually be kind of hard since you have to do the other ones first. But like. What the hell. Compared to OoT where you're expected to do everything in a certain order, there is some flexibility but it's like there is an intended route with proper difficulty curving.
Mina has a backwards difficulty curve. The first area you do will be the hardest, and the next 3-4 progressively easier. Then maybe a difficulty spike at the end. That's it.

The axe throw bothers me about this too. It looks like it should be in the air but it can hit things above and to the right of you as if you threw it like a curved boomerang.

It's poorly designed and not very fun. I'd rather replay another Zelda clone like Prodigal or Pipistrello.
>>
It starts off highly punishing and quickly becomes a cakewalk. The sheer quantity of upgrades was clearly a result of needing to fill the world with shit to collect with no sense of actual balance.

I absolutely hate the fucking jumpscares in this game. I've had two nightmares about the one in the dark. Who the fuck thought a flashing full screen first person view jumpscare was a good idea in a top down Gameboy looking piece of shit.
Even the stupid clown wasn't as bad or grinsly or whatever the poppit guy name was. (Traumatized achievement)
,>>741661872
Yep so there's basically no progression at all. If you do crypts bayou burg beach it's a pretty easy game. Getting to crypts is the hardest part.

and that's a good thing
peaks and valleys mog linear difficulty increases
>>
i can tell he's wrong about the level design just because he's a retarded wanting to be spoonfed
but is he wrong about the hammer
>>
>>741667151
The hammer is uncontestedly the best weapon in the game.

So it is basicaly base game Elden Ring?

>That guy seething phil gets hundreds of viewers per stream
LMAO

You can literally beat every boss in this game by standing still and attacking repeatedly, I don't understand how anyone is calling it hard
>>
>>741659594
Hasn't he essentially be e-begging for the last few years? Like down right pan handling.
>>
>>741669745
>for the last few years?

His whole career has been about begging.
>>
>>741666228
>Pipistrello
Not that Pipi was bad, way better scrimblo yoyo game than Penis, but if Mina is worse then yacht has really fallen.
>>
>>741659483
>is it just poorly designed?
They start you out with cheat codes because they knew even actual gamers wouldn't put up with all the terrible design choices.
>>
>>741659483
Fucking Vinny is breezing through this game
It can't be that challenging; people are just being extremely retarded
>>
>>741666092
You wrote all this because some giggling clown you've never met said that to you as if it matters.
>>
>>741666510
Jumpscares are based. You’re a pussy if you don’t like them. I support putting more jumpscares in non horror games just to fuck with people like you.

not challenging

this faggot is so compromised. you can see why he doesnt like the game right there
