Look up videos on how to peel your particular card open, usually a connectors for the fans you might need to carefully unplug, and just clean it off and repaste it like a cpu, the thermal pads should be fine to keep going I think.Pic is from my old pc's stock intel paste after a few years, my current gpu was kind of similar after a few as well, but I didn't photograph it when I repasted.
