Oversimplification but the memory controllers for most desktop CPU's aren't robust enough to run 4 x modules above the JEDEC rated standard, so your computer probably won't even boot with the XMP/EXPO profile configured, assuming all 4 sticks are completely identical.

Refer to your motherboard QVL for what frequency and timings to expect with 4 x kits.

If your gpu is old and those fans are running nonstop like jet engines, that factory paste has dried out into dust. Look up videos on how to peel your particular card open, usually a connectors for the fans you might need to carefully unplug, and just clean it off and repaste it like a cpu, the thermal pads should be fine to keep going I think.
Pic is from my old pc's stock intel paste after a few years, my current gpu was kind of similar after a few as well, but I didn't photograph it when I repasted. Fans stopped going jet engine mode right after.

I bought 64gb DDR4 of ram to replace 32gb I had as I thought it would solve a problem I was having. It did not. What is fortuitous is I purchased it right as DDR4 prices bottomed out before the rampocalypse started so I paid less for 2x32 dimms than I did for my original 32gb kit lmao. When I next upgrade - likely a 10800x3d or whatever the fuck AMD calls it I will go for 64gb ram again just because.
