the fight dojo had only 1 new fight between chapter 3 and 4, and you also couldn't go back to do old fights for some reason. there are no new item fusions past chapter 2.there's a lot of bizarre things with items, like the TVslop, TVdinner and ExecBuffet items don't tell you how much they heal in the item menu. You can get TwinRibbon in chapter 2, but it gets nerfed in chapter 3. The FiberScarf gives 2 attack in chapter 2 and 4, but in chapter 3 it gives 3 attack.the game tries to make a big point that darkners are represented by physical items in the world, and that to see them again in castle town you have to bring those items back to the closet. Except at the end of chapter 4 where you can just leave to go back to castletown with only kris, you can already place the recruits you got in the church in the cafe. this point isn't really a big deal, but it feels like something that the game should have addressed even if it was just a throwaway line.

Did anyone here play Chapters 1-4 all at once for the first time rather than as they released? I'm very curious how that felt because going back through the game chapters feel more like seperate games rather than a single flowing game.
