The Area 51 lightgun game. Who didn't love blasting aliens while waiting for your pizza to cook

I was too poor for arcades. Seemed dumb anyway to waste money to have a single turn. I never really got the appeal. Plus I genuinely don't like people and arcades were always full of them.

>I never really got the appeal
At the time arcade machines were powerhouses, games simply looked and ran better on arcades than they do on console ports.
The other aspect is the challenge, if you wanted to prove you are good at some fighting game than the arcades is where it was at.
You will always find best of the best at a certain fighting game at the arcade.

Was just at an arcade over the weekend, played a ton of gauntlet Dark legacy, time crisis 2, and marvel vs Capcom.

Was a good time but these arcades really have to do more maintenance on their machines. I get CRTs are getting hard to find do I forgive burn in and convergence issues but completely bonked sticks and sticky buttons is crazy when you can buy new replacements

That Jurassic Park shooter game that was a booth that you sat in with blackout curtains
Going into that thing as a kid was the scariest and most exhilarating experience you could possibly have

Time Crisis and House of the Dead were always my go to. I played Tekken every now and then but I always got my ass kicked by a random (grown ass man trying to flex on a kid). MvC2 was also tight, we had a cabinet in a laundromat that my brother and I would play constantly, but playing it in the arcade was impossible
>>
Just give me some good pinball and not just random modern stern shit unless Keith Elwin made it

Yeah they were kinda expensive. Mom would give me $5 and it would last maybe 15 minutes. I didn't get to play them all that much either
