Holy shit. It took me SIX HOURS to fucking mod this game. I downloaded roughly 70 mods and only had to cut about ten of them. I would have never fucking been able to get it working without the help of AI. The "average" person cannot do modding without help. You literally have to fucking know how to code and fix scripts. I had to keep taking screenshots of the script/merge issues and ask Gemini how to fix each one, granted once you know how it's not super hard but still...Absolutely fucking retarded that this is a hobby for so many people. SIX HOURS to fucking mod a game, but I must admit that it feels good once you get it all working, so now I can play the game with these 60 mods installed. I just had no fucking idea that modding was so complex and time-consuming. It's almost not even worth it. Fuck.

Game is going to be updated for the new expansion and console mods so it will probably become less complicated as the consoles won't allow script merge shit.

I know on the Nexus you can download pre-packaged mod lists made by other people but some of them are easily 50-100GB, and I wanted to pick and choose my own mods and build my own list. There are probably more if I had kept looking, but I stopped after page 20. People are still making mods for the game to this day, so new ones come out every now and again.

It's honestly pretty good for a vanilla version of an RPG, and CD Projekt Red has done a lot over the years to tweak it and upgrade it, even added RTX and other QoL upgrades/mods developed by other people.
