I don't think I've ever come across a shmup that I just didn't like. I don't understand why there's so much hostility toward the genre...I was watching some faggot reviewing the PC-Engine library on YouTube, and he refused to review shooters because they aren't "real" games.I'm not a big fan of shooters that rely on milking bosses for points, though. I like the Cotton series, but the real "skill" in the more modern ones is all about farming points. Players spend 5 minutes on a boss just racking up points without actually killing it, and that's one of the things I don't find very enjoyable.
