ITT developers that have been spinning their tires in the mud for decades since they were formed

They've released tons of competent, well-made, but ultimately shallow RTS games all trying to recapture the Command and Conquer magic since 2003. Even when they remastered Command and Conquer, there didn't seem to be much fanfare.

everything Petroglyph has made has been promising, and there's always been a sense of "well if they keep at it then their next game will definitely be amazing" but the truth is they lost the secret sauce
or I suppose never actually had it, since whatever talent Westwood+EA had when making Red Alert 2, Tiberian Sun, even all the way up to Generals clearly didn't move to Petroglyph when it was formed.
