>>741790387No that's not how it works. That happens on both Linux and Windows. Linux has an additional feature that can be enabled to modify the priorities of what gets swapped to system RAM. For Windows, and Linux without this service you don't get to control what gets shuffled into system RAM and it can be game data instead of bullshit you don't need, this makes performance ultra shit. With the new functionality added to Linux, it will always try put the shit it doesn't need in system RAM and try to keep as much of the game related data in VRAM as possible.
