Most people do not play every game to the end.
Your 20 hours story will not matter for any of em.
No matter how many tutorials, invisible walls, mechanic simplifications, yellow paint or radio buddies you add.
They just don't want to play the whole thing.

The primary reason why I don't play many games to the end is because final/secret boss is too difficult at highest difficulty setting. I don't think badly of these games, quite the opposite. I respect the challenge and keep them on a queue to finally grind them once I'm bored with other things.

Most people won't play your game at all, a third of the planet doesn't have stable electricity, physical sports will always be more popular than video gaming within our lifetimes, and the large variety of genres further split the pie into tiny fractions of the medium's saturation.

"Most people won't finish it" isn't the same as "no one will finish it". The audience I respect will.

Yeah, but you should not try to force people to finish your game.
Some just want to have fun with the mechanics and world you created, and trying to water it down to force more people into the ending just ruin it for everyone.
