Why do modern video game characters suffer from verbal diarrhea? It’s everywhere. Characters from the old games spoke in short sentences and were way more interesting and charismatic.

OP suffers from verbal diarrhea.

Sorry I don't really get what you're saying, could you explain it some more?

I will never forget the subhuman squeenid suits for murdering Deus Ex based on virtual calculation of profits they COULD have made only for the subsequent games DE was shafter for to make even less. A third nuke is a must at this point
>>
Millennial writing, they have to make sure the """""media illiterate""""" cant interpret any single thing outside of their intended looney meaning, and they are terrified of empty space and quiet scenes

It's really pathetic how 4chan zoomers need to scapegoat millennials, I get that you can't help being born into an embarrassing generation but this denialism isn't making it any better.

give me 10 examples of games with short sentences and 10 examples of games with long sentences

Adaaaaaam

>old games
Written by retards with nothing to say + low memory budget
>new games
Written by non retards for people who aren't illiterate. It's a brown filter and clearly it works.

Video games are developed by deeply insecure people that act quirky to compensate.

Relax dude, there's only one Deus Ex game and it was released in 2000. Everything else just wore it's name without being Deus Ex in substance. It’s a somewhat common trope for the video game series, for example, Quake, System Shock and Dead Rising are like this too.
>>
Ugh. Me no like when people use big words or lots of words. Give me big brain hurts. Grr.
>>
>>741798992
Yeah I'm sure it's just a coincidence that all the awful writing we've gotten in the past 10 years were exclusively written by millennials and not any other generation

Retrofags are subhuman.
I say this as someone who played every entry.
>>
>>741799636
Kill yourself zoomer trash, you didn't even play the first deus ex and only pretend you did to larp as a heckin sophisticated retro gamer.

Its not a competition

Just compare the way JC talks to the long debates that Adam engages in. Another example would be something like Arx Fatalis or Dark Messiah vs the shit you have in Dishonored 2 where characters never shut the fuck up.
>>741799979
Not my fault that the old games are better. I've played the original for the first time after trying out the modern releases and found it be superior.

DE1 aged like wet dogpoo on a hot summer day. 90% carried by soundtrack.
It was physically revolting to play without it after playing DXMD and DXHR multiple times. At the time it was a 10/10 game but let's not pretend it can hold a candle to Jensen's games

Zoomers don't have internal monologues so they need characters to tell what they should be thinking at all times
