Also at least with the key carts you can give it away or sell it, since it explicitly works on other consoles as long as they have the cartridge in them.

If you don't plan on selling the copy the CIAB is better since a digital copy doesn't take up your cartridge slot and is tied to an account so losing the copy or it breaking is more likely than losing your account. Since a GKC is just a digital copy with hoops it's worse to buy it over the CIAB.
