Imagine the protagonist bonding with this character, time and time again, chapter after chapter, having moment after moment where they show genuine friendship and closeness, when before the story said character was basically miserable and alone.Now imagine that all those moments meant absolutely nothing, the character considers the five minutes they spent with someone else to be more important than anything those other two had, and basically every single "special bond" they now have is handed over to the character's new girlfriend while the protagonist is forced to watch from a distance slumped like a corpse.Also, some smug cunt banged their mom, their father has been kidnapped, the brother they missed skipped out on their meeting and uhh everything fucking sucks, nobody loves them, and their only other route in the game consists of comitting suicide.
